Did Jennifer Hudson Really Shade Lupita Nyong’o After Her Oscar Win? – Fans are accusing Jennifer Hudson of shading Lupita Nyong’o‘s Oscar win from the other night. According to Vlad TV, shortly after Lupita accepted her Academy Award Sunday night, J-Hud took to her Instagram account and posted a pic of all of her various awards…including her Oscar. Apparently some Team Lupita fans didn’t take too kindly to that act and called Hudson out for not allowing Lupita to have her moment to herself. – Via Atlanta Daily World

Bradenton’s Sam Woolf is loving his ‘American Idol’ time – Sam Woolf can’t talk much about what he has planned for his next “American Idol” appearance. When he speaks to reporters on the phone, someone from the show is on the line to make sure he doesn’t spill any secrets. But when she tells him he can talk in general ways about what song he’s going to perform Wednesday, Woolf reveals it’s another slow cover song and he’ll be playing guitar. His coaches, Randy Jackson and Rickey Minor, have “been telling me to connect more, so that’s what I’ve been working on,” Woolf told the Herald Monday night. “To connect more with the songs.” – Read more at Bradenton.com

How the American Idol Judges Failed MK Nobilette – Let me just start by saying that of the American Idol-watching editors at TVGuide.com, I’m the MK Nobilette fan. Therefore, it pains me to say that she wasn’t very good in her first live performance as a finalist. I am, however, hoping she gets back into the groove. She may not be the strongest singer or most polished musician up there, but the warmth in her voice and her demeanor is very winning. MK can sell moody and dreamy like no other, and that is what gets me in her corner. Then again, I’m the kind of person who prefers Audrey Hepburn’s imperfect singing on “Moon River” to her dubbed acrobatics in My Fair Lady (sorry Marni Nixon!). – Read more at TV Guide

We sat down with Kelly recently at a music industry conference and talked about the role technology is playing in helping new artists break through. – Read more at USA Today

‘Dancing With the Stars’: ABC’s Aging Reality Show Tries to Skew Younger With Changes – In an effort to stem steep ratings declines, Dancing With the Stars is changing its tune. After the move last year to a combined performance and results show failed to give the ABC reality flagship a lift, producers are overhauling the show with more current music, a new co-host in Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews and increased audience participation. Dancing is still a force in total viewers, averaging 15 million last season, but those viewers are now 62.1 years old, making it the grayest broadcast show not on CBS. – Read more at Hollywood Reporter
