Talks with ‘Idol’ contestants Isabelle and Matheus, locals going to Hollywood – At four foot nine, he has been bullied for his height and has a bit of awkwardness about him. While he enjoyed his time on “The Glee Project,” he didn’t particularly like the way he was edited. “They portrayed me really weirdly,” he said. (He cried a lot.) “People thought I was a cocky little bastard.” At the same time, “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy said he was too shy.
Once that show ended in 2011, he decided to stay in Los Angeles, working at a Beverly Hills Best Buy. But he didn’t pursue his music career unlike many of his “Glee Project” peers. “Most of my friends thought I was stupid,” he said. “Why not ride the wave?” But he felt bad about himself. He said he tried contacting some of the other “Glee Project” contestants but didn’t get responses back. He felt rejected, “pathetic.” – Read more at Access Atlanta

‘Idol’ winner Phillip Phillips feels ‘Home’ on stage – “Gone, Gone, Gone” is his new single.
“It’s a good love song, but it doesn’t have to be about a love relationship; it can be about a relationship with somebody else or something else,” Phillips said. Being on “American Idol” was his own “something else,” the 22-year-old said. “It was tough. It’s not easy like it looks on television. You have to make a lot of decisions and you have to work long hours, and a lot of it is just hurry up and wait. You get drained out and sometimes you just have to take a break, kind of take a breather and relax,” he said. “It was fun; it was a great learning experience.” – Read more at Toledo Free Press

Demi Lovato Shares on Eating Disorder, Unhealthy Relationships: “I Was So Afraid of Being Alone” – – “I was about 12 or 13 when I developed my eating disorder, and at that time nobody in the public eye talked about their body issues,” the now-20-year-old tells the magazine. “I feel that if someone had admitted they had a problem, then I wouldn’t have gone down that route myself,” she explains. “That’s my goal in talking about my problems: I want to be the person for other girls that I needed to admire when I was looking for help and strength.” Part of that strength, she says, comes from accepting who you are, no matter what your shape or how other people perceive you. – Read more at E Online

‘Glee’ Q&A: Meet Oliver Kieran-Jones, Kurt’s New Man in NYC – How do you feel about Adam as a character? I don’t know what I’m allowed to say so I dare not say anything! My process of developing characters is to fall in love with them anyway, so I’m probably biased. I think he’s an amazing, amazing person for a number of reasons, standalone and regardless to his relationship with Kurt. What intrigued me most and was difficult to make sense of is why this guy who from the outside seems he’d be relatively popular and have a lot of stuff going on for him. But he’s the head of a group of misfits and running this glee club. There were two ways to go with the dialog I read — you could make him a little bit arrogant and smarmy but kind of charming, or you can infuse him with warmth. I felt like, for me, that’s where he comes from. Despite the outside, he actually feels extremely vulnerable and extremely like a misfit. I think that’s perpetuated by the fact that he’s gay and had to deal with that, perpetuated by the fact that he’s in New York and feels like an outsider. – Read more at Billboard.com
