Sure he can sing, spectacularly, write songs, beautifully, too, but does the senior at Bradenton River High School have enough star-power to be the next “American Idol”? “I definitely agree and have taken what (Connick Jr. and others) said and have been practicing a lot more,” Woolf says by phone at about 5:30 p.m. PST Tuesday from “American Idol” headquarters in Los Angeles. “Next performance, I think it’s really going to show.” – Read more at Arts Sarasota

So, I’ve listened to all 13 of these brief “interviews” with the Idol contestants and as I listened, I made a deal with myself that whoever said they preferred cats over dogs, I’d throw them votes this week no matter how well they did. *Drum roll!* Majesty Rose, you win! You can lay an egg this week (although I don’t think you will) and I’ll vote for you. ;-)

However, this is a one week deal. Heh. (Yes, this is how I amuse myself.)

As long as Scotty has done his homework, i don’t have a problemwith his decisionto play Seaworld.

  • Jason Gorny

Just read on a thread on ATRL that the voice producers will be replacing christina for season 7 in addition with cee-lo.

  • 10DogMom

I wonder if her pregnancy dictated that.

  • Liteasy

Cee Lo got fired several weeks ago.

Taylor Hicks is on Craig Ferguson’s Show tonight: http://www.cbs.com/shows/late_late_show/upcoming_guests/

  • Larc

I think some of the cancelled performances there were knee-jerk rather than well-thought-out reactions.

  • fuzzywuzzy

Looks like Taylor’s last show at Napoleon’s is March 4.

I might have made that same decision after seeing Blackfish. It’s powerful and disturbing. I never want to go to any marine park after seeing it.

  • Incipit

Yes. There are very specific allegations, enough to give anyone pause – I haven’t seen any rebuttals, just deflection.

  • KrisAllenLists

    No, just the band.

  • Lexie O’Neill

There actually have been a number of rebuttals…even though I hate to get into it here. Let me just say I talked to a professional in the field (who has nothing to do with Sea World) and the facility has an amazing reputation in the actual field of marine science.

Sea World has clearly stated a number of times and given evidence that much of the film was spliced together, etc.

“Delusional” doesn’t begin to describe it:

‘”Everyone loved [Brooke], but the execs wanted a whole new show,” the
source revealed. Adding that Andrews’ “young male following” was
appealing to the network. “They’re desperate for those viewers,” the
    source added.

‘News of Burke-Charvet’s exit came right after DWTS band leader Harold Wheeler and his 28-person band were also unceremoniously fired.’

    Read more: http://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/brooke-burke-charvet-replaced-erin-andrews-dancing-with-the-stars-to-draw-young-male-following-2014262#ixzz2uWqcHMkz

Uh …. I think the Andrews’ following sort of *starts* with the sports she covers, not with her all by herself. Why in the world would anybody imagine that a bunch of young men would start watching Dancing with the Stars? amazing

I suppose they think Andrews’ presence could attract 19-year-old guys to watch reruns of Julia Child, as well.

Listening to this (James) is so much nicer than reading interviews. Great “new finds” as he’s reliving some Idol (ZW), his youth–apprec of Dale Ockerman & talented kids he spent time w/at his music school.. Ea time he’s asked re Idol (likes/dislikes you “get” how much all of it meant/means to him. First obscurity–to the unreal, wonderful dream of the Idol experience, & then the task of making something happen again w/what all-over recognition that Idol gave him & adjusting again. Talking present (more hard work pushing Parachute necessary), knowing where he’s at, & hoping hard work will pay off. Gratitude that he got 1 album out & appreciation for an oppor. for this 2nd album. PLUS his songs being played in betw (liked that)—his gifts “family” & how he knows it takes juggling & understanding from Heidi/Hunter—it was a great listen. How much fans (those from the beginning & new ones) are important to him. How comfortable he is w/himself now & that talk shows he thinks can be a bit easier bec of that. Enjoyed it.

  • Porfivor Nixon

I don’t like him anymore because of this. I’ve done my research, too.
