‘American Idol’: Get To Know Daniel Seavey (Exclusive Interview) – How did you decide that you finally wanted to go on television and show your talents? I have been watching AMERICAN IDOL since I was 3 years-old and I didn’t know what I was watching. My family just always watched it. I did not expect this. – Read more at The TV Page

American Idol’: Get To Know Tyanna Jones (Exclusive Interview) – What do you think you would be doing if you weren’t making music? Nothing. This is what I want to do. – Read more at The TV Page

Vancouver teen featured Thursday on ‘American Idol’ – Daniel Seavey loves making people happy. To help him do that, he’s got a sweet, clear, startlingly strong vibrato and a familiar way around the piano keys and guitar strings. “I just like to spread joy,” he said. He wasn’t too overjoyed to miss the Portland auditions for “American Idol,” though. The 15-year-old Vancouver resident happened to be on a church mission when the show’s audition bus came through town in search of new talent. His dad, Jeff, had promised to let him try out, but the timing just didn’t work in the end. Daniel figured the nationwide talent show wasn’t in the cards for him. Jeff Seavey figured otherwise. He and Daniel flew down to San Francisco for an audition for the show’s 14th season. “We kind of just did it out of fun,” Daniel said. He added: “Without my parents, I wouldn’t have been able to do this at all.” – Read more at The Columbian

I came from nothing, and my life took a whirlwind change overnight,” the American Idol alum, 32, tells PEOPLE. “My life couldn’t be any better. Long after ‘Idol,’ Cape’s Siobhan Magnus stays in spotlight – Most “American Idol” alums have a year or two to milk the exposure — where are you now Lee DeWyze? After the post-”Idol” push, they tend to disappear without anybody noticing. Who has seen Blake Lewis lately? (ed – Uhm. Both have higher profiles than Siobhan…You don’t watch the Walking Dead Jed Gottlieb?) – While the Barnstable native has yet to score a hit album or even drop a successful single, last year she toured Japan, placed an original song in the film “The Wisdom to Know the Difference” and chatted with Danny Aiello for an hour backstage at the Beatles 50th anniversary concert at New York’s Town Hall. (Nice guy, turns out he needs tips as he’s trying to become a singer at age 81.) “After my dad passed away in early 2013, it was kind of hard to find my footing again,” Magnus said ahead of a headlining gig at Johnny D’s tomorrow. “But 2014 was a very good year. When I got invited to join Boston on tour, that’s when things started to turn around.” – Read more at The Boston Herald

‘The Voice’ finalist Sasha Allen comes to PlayhouseSquare with ‘Pippin’ tour – “The platform of ‘The Voice’ was amazing because they pushed us really hard,” Allen says during a recent phone interview. “Everybody got to see our true potential.” On the show, Allen first joined Adam Levine’s team, and she finished out her run on Shakira’s team. The season was won by Danielle Bradbery. For those of us who never have — and surely never will — compete on such a show, what’s the experience like? “It’s nerve-wracking,” she says. “I guess the most nerve-wracking part is (worrying about) being embarrassed. Your idols are in front of you. You just hope they say something nice. – Read more at The News-Herald

Both in rehearsal and out, the members are a whirlwind of hair, giggles and shouts. “They have a lot of energy,” their instructor says with a wink.
