Adam Lambert: “If My New Album Isn’t Out in 2014, Something is Seriously Wrong!” – Most importantly…will there be a follow-up to 2012’s Trespassing album next year? “In theory, yes,” said Adam, who has been collaborating with Nile Rodgers and Avicii and says he’s currently talking to labels. “If not, something is seriously wrong!” Oh look! NBC Says It Will Put on a Show, Again – The enormous ratings for last week’s live version of “The Sound of Music,” which reached 18.6 million viewers, have NBC’s top entertainment executive pushing the button on a follow-up. Robert Greenblatt, the chairman of NBC’s entertainment division, said on Monday that the network would mount another live production next year for the holidays that would be led by the “Sound of Music” executive producers, Neil Meron and Craig Zadan. In a telephone interview, the three men said they had begun work on selecting another musical. Mr. Greenblatt said they were “circling a couple of titles” that fit their prerequisites: family-friendly Broadway classics with a lot of familiar songs. One crucial element to the success of “The Sound of Music,” Mr. Meron said, was securing Carrie Underwood, the country music star who played Maria, the role made famous by Julie Andrews in the 1965 movie. “She really delivered her audience, her fan base,” Mr. Meron said. The executives said that the ratings were three times what they had predicted. – Read more at New York Times

Q&A with country music star Keith Urban – Q: You posted a photo of a new do on social media recently. Did your wife Nicole Kidman put you up to that or was it your idea? A: I just wanted to hack it all off at some point. Idol was always constantly shooting and I thought what’s the least disruptive time as far as Idol is concerned. I said to Nic I just want to get it all cut off and she was like yeah, yeah, yeah, it’s just hair, you know. If you don’t like it will grow back, it’s no big drama. So she was shooting a campaign here in Nashville and her hairdresser was in town. I went to visit her on the set and she was like why don’t you get him to do it and I went okay and I just walked in, he cut it off and it was done. – Read more at Yahoo.com

I caught up with Jeremy Jordan this weekend to talk about the excitement — and vindication — that comes from stepping back into Jimmy’s shoes, to find out what he’s taken away from the Smash experience and learn how it directly translated into his next role: as Jamie in the big screen musical The Last 5 Years with Anna Kendrick. – Read more at ET Online

Glee’s 100th Episode: What Does Chris Colfer Want to Sing? – Even though Glee’s 100th episode doesn’t air until March 18, 2014, Colfer is hoping to sing a certain song for the special milestone. “You know, I think I would like to give ‘Defying Gravity’ another shot,” Colfer told E! News Sunday night at the TrevorLIVE Los Angeles Benefit in Hollywood. “I think back in season one, when I had much more face, I was terrified to record that,” he said. “I think when I listen to it, I realize how terrified I was to sing it so I’d like to do that again, to give it another confident shot.” – See the Video at E Online
