CMT Announces First Round of Performers for Artist of the Year Special – CMT has announced its first round of performers and presenters for the upcoming fourth annual CMT Artists of the Year special, airing live Dec. 3 from Nashville. Alabama, Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum, Train’s Pat Monahan, Cassadee Pope, Lionel Richie, Travis Tritt and Dwight Yoakam have all signed on to participate in the event, which this year is honoring Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Hunter Hayes, and Tim McGraw. Jonathan Groff cheers cousin James Wolpert’s ‘The Voice’ performance – In the past, Lampeter Strasburg grad James Wolpert was known as the cousin of Jonathan Groff, Tony nominee for “Spring Awakening” and guest start on “Glee.” But the tables are turning. These days Groff, who splits his time between New York and Los Angeles, is thrilled to be watching his cousin get better known across the country from “The Voice,” the top rated NBC reality talent show he is appearing on this season. “I am so excited for James!!!!!” Groff wrote in a recent email, after Wolpert aced Harry Nilsson’s “Without You” on Monday night’s show. “I just had dinner with him and my aunt Margie and my mom last night in L.A.
