Michael Deeds: Phillip Phillips jams his way past ‘Home’ – That’s a flat-out trip, recalls Phillips, 24, who still sounds mindblown by his Rock in Rio experience a full year later. “I was just going down there to be opening for some amazing artists,” remembers Phillips, who will perform Saturday, Oct. 25, at Boise’s Taco Bell Arena. “I didn’t expect them to sing every word to every song – and loudly. It definitely caught me off guard, but it was amazing at the same time. … 90,000 people, it was incredible.” – Read more at The Idaho Statesman

Clay Aiken TV Ad “Send A Message”

Check out this new campaign ad from North Carolina congressional candidate and American Idol alum, Clay Aiken. He’s trailing behind his republican opponent and incumbent, Renee Ellmers.

How Jacquie Lee Became the First Breakout Star of ‘The Voice’ – “I’m not really into the bubblegum stuff,” Lee says, “but music is my gift, so I feel like it’s natural for me to understand it on a deeper level. It becomes my outlet—how I get all my anger, all my sadness, all my happiness out. I can just write about it, or I can go onstage and perform the hell out of it.” When she does, it’s with, as Aguilera puts it, “a big voice from a small body” that lacks nothing in “raw bite and fire” and brilliant ingenuity. “People want to believe there’s something about pop music that can be organic and real,” Cohen says. “And that’s Jacquie’s lane. She’s not fabrication. She’s confident. She lights up a room. She’s going to move people the way she moved me.” – Check out the story and PHOTOS at ELLE

Scott MacIntyre: I Won’t Let Kidney Failure Slow Me Down – “There is a lot of uncertainty about the immediate future, as you can imagine,” MacIntyre tells PEOPLE of being diagnosed with kidney failure. “But for now, I’m still very mobile and I’m going to continue to perform and speak as long as I have the strength to do so.” “This is my wife Christina’s first time going through this with me. It is definitely a learning experience for us, but we really feel good about things,” says MacIntyre. “We are trying to support each other through it and she has just been amazing at holding me up and helping me through this step by step.” – Read more at People.com

Cheryl Burke: This Will “Most Likely Be My Last Season” of Dancing with the Stars – After 18 seasons on Dancing with the Stars, Cheryl Burke maintains that she’s ready to pack it in… probably.
“As of now, it’s still up in the air if I’m coming back or not. Contractually, my contract is over and there’s other opportunities that have been out there for me,” Burke, who has been on the show consecutively since Season 2, tells TVGuide.com. “Will it most likely be my last season? I would have to say yes.” – Read more at TV Guide
