In retrospect, Idol 8 was a total bomb and a mess from beginning to end.

I couldn’t disagree more. Season 8 brought us Adam Lambert. For me and I’m sure countless others, he made the whole season worth watching. I think it was the best season yet and that’s because of Adam.

None of S8 is in the ballpark, not just Kris.

Kris is the winner of his AI season, just like David Cook was. Kris should be the one who is “in the ballpark”.

Yet again Idol is proving that winning means nothing. To feature a runner up’s song to promote their new season is a slap in the face to people who voted for Kris who actually won. They just keep shoving it down our throats. In additin, it’s not like FYE set any records. It’s not that I’m crazy about Kris’ single but at least it’s getting a lot more radio plays. It would have been nice if they promoted the winner’s single as a “perk” to the winner.

In retrospect, Idol 8 was a total bomb and a mess from beginning to end. I have to wonder if they had stayed with a tried & true format (also with only 3 judges) what might have happened if contestants were given equal face time & had the opportunity to really show us progression. Some of those contestants never had a chance to show us what they are capable of & we never got to really connect with them.

Even if J-Hud is pregnant again why is the number of children she has or her marital staus anyone’s concern but her own. Many single parents do a great job of raising their kids on their own. Not finding the right person to marry or being unable to marry shouldn’t prevent someone of becoming a parent if she/he wants too.

Well that’s pretty even then! Especially considering the 13% drop in sales from last year to this year!

Even? In terms of total output maybe. But in terms of total cost of output, not so much.

Congrats to SuBo! Wow, this was clearly brilliant marketing and time to drop her album. If I’m not mistake that means sales over two million now?

JHud makes the right decision to do a Grammy gig over a Jazz festival but pregnant again? This is almost 2010, there is birth control, JHud. You haven’t even married (just endlessly engaged) the father of your last child yet. Have some respect for your child if not yourself.

Speaking of, does anyone think that they’ll use a song off of Kris’s album for the boot song? There is that one he did that I think is pretty bad as a song, but might be good for the boot one. Can’t remember the title off-hand, because I don’t like the song, so I block it from my mind. Maybe Lifetime?

Don’t they usually use a song from a previous idol. (other than the last season) Maybe David Cook will record something they can use. If not, I’m pulling for “Aftermath” from Adam.
