Apparently the Idols had the week-end off because Gokey was in Wisconsin this week-end himself.

As for why Kris was in VA Beach? Well, maybe he had a song writing session with members of The Fray?

Also Timbaland’s recording studio is there. People like Missy Elliot, Justin Timberlake, Pharrel, Danja, The Neptunes come from that area and/or record there.

Man, Allison’s tour set is sounding pretty awesome!!! And a future Allison/Adam collaboration? Sounds AMAZING! “Slow Ride” was definitely one of my top 3 or 4 favorite moments of the season, so I’m sure any collaboration between those 2 would be siiick!

I’m not sure if that DC Twitter was accurate. Because according to E! Online Adam was in an LA recording studio with Lady Gaga producer RedOne laying down tracks all week-end.

Or maybe Kris just took his wife to a concertà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦..

It’s a long way to go just for a concert when you don’t have many days off. But I don’t want to get my hopes up by reading too much else into it.

There have also been a few reports (by which I mean Tweets of course – how did we stalk celebs before Twitter?) placing Adam in LA last night, not DC.

Some good surprises during the chat. She seems to know exactly what she wants to do musically.
I am happy about her set during the tour, it’s going to rock, but mainly I am happy she isn’t performing I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing, I don’t want to hear that song ever again.

I really lover her influences, I listen to Kings of Leon and Franz Ferdinand a lot and of course there are worse role models than Pink and Janis Joplin.
She said that Kara had already two songs for her to record, hope they are better than No Boundaries lol!

Love that she confirmed that it would be a rock album, not that I was too concerned but with Jive’s reputation I was a little afraid they were going for rnb or disney pop.

Finally, I guess that means Adam will be doing 4 songs and the duet. I don’t think he will get 5 songs all by himself and the duet.

Adam was, it seems likely, with Lady GaGa’s produce, RedOne. That’s what all of the Tweets and articles say, LOL. As I recall from the 20/20 interview, he has already chosen or is in the process of choosing his Idol wear for the Tour. Much of which he already owns, I’m sure.

BTW, this is also nice PR for Lady GaGa (and RedOne), tho I’m not sure either needs any.

I hope Allison gets some great tracks on her album. And hopefully, Slow Ride won’t count as one of her songs on the Tour (or Adam’s), but I would love them to put that on their albums (I would guess Allison’s rather than Adam’s, but who knows?).

God, I wish someone would sign Matt G already…

I think either they would put Allison after Gokey to facilitate the transition with the duet between the two or she would come back during his set.

Last year Archuleta did 4 songs without a duet, Adam being the runner up it would be strange that he gets to perform 6 songs, I don’t know who are the contestants that would have to give some of their time to make it happen.

Seriously? Stupid. The reason that format worked last year was because there were so many talents in the Top 10, and with very different styles from each other. This year I expected them to try and get more duets and group numbers so the audience won’t have to suffer through full sets from Scott and Michael (and… who else was there? Megan? Yikes).

This is random, but did we ever definitively debunk the rumor that Matt is 1/4 black? He calls himself “white guy” all the time, and talks about being the white guy in his gospel choir, or getting his soul/beat-boxing from the “streets”, so I am getting the sense that when he says he’s “kind of a brother”, it’s cuz he grew up around black people, not that he actually is part black…? Not that it matters, but I was always curious about how that rumor that rumor got started or if it had any truth.

Lastly, major points to Matt for saying this, because as a Matt fan, So Small was your best, while Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman sucked a LOT.

Matt Giraud: My favorite week was probably country week, because I thought that was a really cool moment. My least favorite was movie week, because I picked a good song, but I didn’t really do what I wanted with it.

The timing is posible — LA on Saturday for 5 hour session; DC on Sunday for the last day of DC Pride. BUT if Adam was at DC Pride, it would have made headlines. Not just one tweet from a guy from Richmond with a blog who hasn’t even blogged about it.

I had never heard tracks 7 (“Lovely”) or 10 (“Real World”) before. It’s nice to finally have all 11 tracks and to be able to listen to them in order. “Lovely” truly is lovely.

I have to say, I have an iPod loaded with singer-songwriters, both male and female, young and old, and Kris really holds his own with most of them.

David Cook is on Larry King Live right now for those fans who might have missed this. He is talking about Adam and Permanent.

Kris is musical, no doubt, but he’s only been playing the piano for a year and a half. I’m seriously doubting he’s going to be playing the piano with Scott and Matt, both of whom are pianists firsts.

Although, the possibility of Kris on guitar with Matt on piano and someone else doing something else is still out there.

Most of David Cook’s interview on Larry King Live dealt with his brother’s death and how David was coping. It seemed hard for David to talk about about — which isn’t surprising, considering his brother died so recently. David also talked a little bit about Kris & Adam, whether post-Idol fame has been different from what he expected and about his relationship with Archie. I was a little surprised to hear he isn’t protective of Archie — even joking it should be the other way around.

David C comes off as a very nice, classy guy.

I just remember last year when Larry asked about the Archuleta being gay…I almost spit out my drink!
