Idol Appearances for the Week of 2/09/09 – 2/15/09

The new   Disney World attraction, The American Idol Experience, opens to the public in Orlando on Saturday 2/14.   But, not before a slew of Idols descends upon Disney World to celebrate on Thursday 2/12 at mostly private Disney functions, although there will be a parade that begins in the park at 4:30 pm.

Plus, David Cook begins his Spring tour in Tallahassee, FL on Friday 2/13. David Archuleta will be celebrating with the B-Crew at the New Orleans Mardi Gras on Saturday 2/14.   And Elliott Yamin joins in the NBA All-Star fun, performing at the NBA All Star Event on Saturday 2/14.

Wednesday 2/11 – Julianne Hough and Kellie Pickler announce the nominees for the 44th annual CMA awards. 8:30 am ET, Country Music Hall of Fame, Nasheville. Melinda Doolittle appears on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Paula Abdul appears on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Thursday 2/12 – David Cook appears on Good Morning America from the New Disney Attraction in Orlando FL. 7-9 am. Jennifer Hudson performs at the 40th Annual NAACP Image Awards. FOX 8/7c FOX.

Friday 2/13 – David Cook appears on Live with Regis and Kelly.

Sunday 2/15 – Jordin Sparks performs the National Anthem at the NBA All Star Game in Phoenix, AZ. TNT 8 pm ET. David Archuleta joins Miranda Cosgrove for the “Crush Night” encore on Nickelodeon, 8 pm.   He performs “A Little Too Not Over You.”

    I squeeed out loud reading that rumor. Here’s hoping it’s true. I’ve been hoping for either a Cook/Clarkson duet or a Cook/Underwood duet for awhile…

    If it’s true, I wonder what they’ll sing. And if we’ll ever get to see it.

    I sure hope so. It’s time. Actually, it’s already overdue.
    If there isn’t a 2nd single announced and performed during GMA or sometime during this week, the only thing I can think of is that his next single will be the boot song and they’ll be waiting for Top 12 to announce it. Otherwise – there’s no reason not to have a new song out ASAP.

    I hope so, although the fact that LO is still climbing on HAC may affect RCA’s strategy.

    YES, she has done great performances of her rock-ish song “Last Name” and Heart’s “Alone”. Plus she loves loves loves DCTR, hope this is true!!!

    I don’t know where the rumor originated, but I just saw on DCO that possibly both DC and Carrie are performing at WDW, but not necessarily together.

    Do we know of anyone else performing? Seems like with so many Idols present, they could do some really cool things together, if someone was inclined to make it interesting.

    I’d love to see a David/Carrie duet. It probably won’t happen though. Usually when I get my hopes up about things AI, they don’t happen.

    Even though LO is climbing on HAC, I still think they should put out a new single. I’ve seen artists have more than one single on the charts. Like Jason Mraz with I’m Yours and Lucky, or Taylor Swift has had 2 or more on the charts, so has Daughtry, and Kelly, I’m pretty sure. Since David’s cd has a lot of great songs on it, why not get moving on the single? So there can be more to follow.
