I NEED YOUR HELP!

Next week is going to be a super busy week on the blog!

X Factor, The Voice and Glee will premiere next week. So You Think You Can Dance and America’s Got Talent wind up their summer seasons (The SYTYCD finale is next Tuesday). Both X Factor and Glee will be holding star-studded premieres (Tuesday and Wednesday respectively)

Plus, there will likely be MAJOR casting news coming out of X Factor and American Idol.

The short of it. I need help. HEEEELLLLP.

Best case scenario would be to live blog all the competition reality shows next week. Stavros has kindly offered to live blog The X Factor. I plan to blog The Voice unless there is someone out there who REALLY wants to do it.

That leaves SYTYCD and America’s Got Talent. Actually, I’d like to find a permanent live blogger for SYTYCD–somebody who loves the show and knows a thing or two about dance (Errr, I think it’s fairly obvious at this point that I don’t). Franky will be back to live blog Dancing With the Stars. Hooray! I think I should probably stay as far away from dance shows as my two left feet can carry me.

America’s Got Talent hasn’t attracted a ton of traffic to the blog. If need be, I’ll put up posts and do a brief recap of the shows later. But, I made the decision to cover the show. If somebody would volunteer to live blog the last two shows next week, that would be fantastic.

    If somebody wants to cover Survivor I’d be willing to make space for it. But I have NEVER watched a full episode of the show. That’s not an exaggeration. Not interested in people eating bugs in a fake situation.  I am in NO WAY qualified to blog it myself.

    Geebus, mj – you’re gonna be as busy as a one-armed paper hanger at a wallpaper convention! Ouch. Regretfully, I’m no help at all – don’t follow any of those shows – I hope some posters who do will step forward.

    I’d love to help, but I know about as much about dance as you and I *loathe* AGT. The only thing I’d be good for is covering The Voice, which you’re already on top of.

    I will watch all those shows, except Survivor!  However, I just don’t have the writing skills you have (and previous helpers.)  So sorry…  I am most excited about SYTYCD!!

    MJ, I was thinking about when you first started your blog on “American Idol”!  Did you ever think it would be like this with all these topics; a thousand participants and lurkers; and that you would be FAMOUS.

    I’d be willing to do Survivor, since it’s our extended family’s get-together show.  But I’m West Coast, so it would have to be a recap — and I couldn’t post it until early Thursday.

    Oooh, thanks!!!  I hope that could actually happen and someone would be able to cover Survivor.  I am on the west coast and don’t have east coast feed access.  The sites I used to use pretty much hoover…:

    Oh and it has been quite a few seasons back since anyone on Survivor ate bugs…it was more interesting when they did tho.  Gotta admit that some seasons have been stale as as rice cracker, but I have been a die hard viewer nonetheless!  :)

    Just wondering but is this on a volunteer basis or will this be like a job? Because I’d love to get paid talking/blogging about TV while I’m in my college grad/real world transition :)

    I would only dare to do Glee because that is the only serie that I am following. Would love to if I know how to get a reliable livestream… I tried several times but I failed…  usually gets cut off in the middle.. I do not have cable TV so I can’t get FOX… and if I see Glee live, it would be at 10 am in the morning local time… And I have no idea how to get those stills from the series.. Sigh…

    Unfortunately, and as much as I love SYTYCD, I won’t be able to help. On the contrary, I’ve always relied on you, MJ to live blog and post the vids of many shows which are not aired in my country. Hope you can still at least upload the vids and that someone can help you with the extraordinary job you always do. BTW, I take the opportunity to THANK YOU for everything :)
