Bravo for this fast reaction from NBC and the stars who are available in such short notice.  Hopefully they’ll manage to get the contribution needed even in just an hour.  I appreciate the simple approach they presented and this made it more heart felt, to me.

What an amazing group of artists, and what consummate professionals. Never would have been able to tell how quickly this was put together. Kudos to NBC, and everyone involved. Hope they raised a bundle!

Awesome way to give, donate and help all the people affected by this tragedy.

    Christina sang her heart out…
    So ” beautiful ” …
this is one of her Best LIVE performance so far for her iconic song !!! :)

Lovely performances! These people were quite kind to do this. My heart goes out to all of the families affected by the storm.

Also, I must say that Christina looked and sounded absolutely gorgeous. She should dress like that more often. Stunning performance from her!

Thank you so much MJ for putting these performances up for those of us who didn’t receive this telecast. They are great performances. This is the best I have seen Christina sing beautiful live. Its so good to hear performances performed live so well without any hint of autotune. I always love seeing Billy Joel-love this song as well. How wonderful for all these artists to do this at a moments notice.

How wonderful people can come together for a good cause and leave the ego at the door.

What an amazing group of artists, and what consummate professionals.

    True, very true!

Loved these performances. Thank you for reminding me why I love all of these people. The sand is washed away, the stone remains.

I heard on the news that when the Red Cross showed up, they handed out hot chocolate and cookies. People were CRYING for blankets, clothes, food. This is all nice and good, but they aren’t getting a dime of my money.

It’s so heartwarming to see superstars able to give their time for a specific charity. To me it’s much more impressive than when they campaign for a candidate.

  • LeahKittyS

Does anybody know if they’re going to release these songs on iTunes, like they did after the Hope for Haiti Now telethon? I hope so, and I hope the donations go to an organization that will help these people out.

If you prefer not to give to the Red Cross, you can donate to organizations like the Salvation Army, the Food Bank for New York City, AmeriCares, or WorldVision. There are links here.

But there are several stories of the RC providing basic food, rakes, and hygiene kits as well.
