Hollie Cavanagh talked about her friendship with fellow Idol, Joshua Ledet, plans after tour and the special bond she had with fellow Brits and Idol producers, Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick when I spoke with her just hours before the Idols Live concert in Providence Rhode Island last Sunday.

    MJ, That was a fantastic, insightful interview and thank you for sharing it with us. I love her voice and will buy anything she records. Hollie is just absolutely adorable. She was Idol’s rare hybrid orchid this season….we saw her reap and sow a journey that blossomed her into this beautiful flower that now decorates stages across the USA. All the best to Hollie!

    I kind of feel bad for Hollie when you asked her about a contract, etc.
    Anyway, I hope something good happens to her as a result of her appearing on Idol, and not necessarily have to do with an album.

    Anyway, I was surprised that Hollie moved to the US when she was 8 and she still has her British accent. I thought I’ve heard that if a child moved here before age 11, that she would lose her birth accent. Maybe because she moved to Texas, that her accent is still there…just interesting to me.
