What do you think about Adam Lambert’s Rolling Stone and the 20/20 interviews?

And you know also as a byproduct of that, you’re helping other people that are struggling. You know, we’ve seen recently in the press how many kids have killed themselves because of being bullied and teased at school. And so whenever there’s somebody that is successful and talented and happy and openly gay, I think that sends a really positive message for all these kids out there that are struggling. I mean, you know, in this business alone, there are so many closeted people still, so I’m proud of him. I’m happy for anyone who has the guts to actually tell the world who they are, and not fear that they’re going to lose their career or alienate anybody.”

food for thought: if Want somehow blows up, don’t you think rca would move him towards that direction if they see that’s what sells? they see that safe Adam is not as good so they’ll let him be free to be more creative.

Best comment ever! Perez commented on the story, again trying to slate it, in my opinion, in a little Adam-negative way.

If Adam really did have writing credits that he owns and will get money for, he would not be allowed to release any music without his permission which would breach his contract with RCA. The fact that they are so freely trying to sell this is proof that Adam does not own any part of those songs.

Yes. Thats how I take it as well. Heckler gets more defensive the more he talks. He’s acting like 19 is keeping Adam prisoner by “turning” him into something he’s not. Adam came to AI with the eyeliner, hair, style, etc. Thats what made him so appealing. I do get what they are doing, but it just doesn’t seem necessary. Adam isn’t going to support this project so they should just try to make as much money on it as they can and more onto their other artists. Its obvious they want to give their company a boost by being the ones to have “discovered” Adam.

Maybe Hi Fi is mad that 19 won’t buy them out.

My gut is that he is throwing us, the fans, that bone to get us to loosen up the purse strings. But is it too little, too late?

If I was convinced Adam was going to get compensated – generously compensated – I suppose I’d buy it because then it would be to Adam’s benefit.

There’s the problem of this single undercutting RCA’s release though. The last thing I want is for people to think this is Adam’s “signature sound” because it’s not and Adam distanced himself from it.

“what now? they didn’t buy that? ok write him a check and tell them he will be compensated.”
