Seriously, I have to give Heidi and Spencer Pratt credit, they know how to grab the headlines, while managing to remain pretty worthless entertainment-wise.

These two managed to create, from a couple of days spent in the jungle with Sanjaya Malakar and the rest of the cast of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, an entire news cycle’s worth of publicity for themselves.

I think they may both be geniuses!

Anyway, this interview with the Today’s Show Al Roker from yesterday is actually kind of boring.

Video after the JUMP…

He asked them a couple of tough questions, but it was hardly Meet the Press. Still, it managed to get covered by all the usual suspects yesterday.

Actually, more interesting is the interview by the ladies of The View. Showbiz veterans Whoopie Goldberg and Barbara Walters subtly take them down a peg or two and it’s pretty awesome. Elizabeth Hasselbeck asks them about their “religious conversion” in the jungle, and they both manage to be insulting to Christians everywhere.

(Heidi’s response to the Roker interview: “Lord Jesus, take this demon out. This is crazy!” ?!!?)

Are Speidi for real? They can’t be.

By the way, the newly religious Heidi confirmed she’ll be featured in an upcoming issue of Playboy… And Spenser says he’s running for president in 2015 (???).

I don’t like these two and I don’t like anybody on The View, so ummm I’m not watching this. I have a really difficult time watching Elizabeth Haselbank (or however her name is spelled).

  • wellhesback

I really despise that Spencer guy. I cannot find adequate words to express my loathing right now.

  • Ellie2

I hate them too much to watch. Just can’t do it, no matter how hilarious it might be.

  • iluvai

I think Whoopi was bored. She was falling off the couch at the end.

  • washpd

The level of hatred I have for people who manage to be famous despite having no actual talent, skill, or accomplishments is really unhealthy. I cannot watch.

  • terps

Spoiled rich kids is what they are. God I hate MTV for creating these idiots.

  • Miss Chaos

I was confused, but slightly happy, I dont know. But what was with Woopi, falling off the couch with an attitude, they got them on as guests, so why tude? I was turned off on her. The rest was just mindless junk, so what the heck. :doh_tb:

  • taran33

LMAO…thanks for posting this MJ. I won’t watch The View. Can’t stand Joy. gag!

    Whoopi was freakin’ hilarious.

Those two are something else…please let them be fake and acting…not real people…please!

  • wand3rful

of course Elizabeth was the only one defending how they were “saved by jesus”. is she that dumb?

i wanted whoopi to reach over and yank off heidi’s fake ponytail. (abc/producers/barbara have control over who they book, not the cast. so i dont blame her ‘tude)

Like I already mentioned, I didn’t watch, but I do have to believe is is indeed “that dumb” because she’s always shown herself to be totally prejudiced toward anything Christian whether it makes sense or not. I’m a Christian, but I seriously doubt I’m that dumb. I’m sure I’m dumb in some things but she’s just a freaking tool IMO.

I feel a little sorry for Heidi. She’s not exactly the shapest crayon in the box, and sometimes I wonder if she really can’t see through Spencer.

    I can’t stand Spencer. He’s so fake.

Folks, Spencer Pratt is clearly a pro wrestling fan. Heidi and Spencer are characters, from her ditsy religion stuff and spraying her hair while on the couch, to his “I’m a big star from Hollywood” schtick. Their characters and outrageous actions/remarks are all from the pro wrestling bad guy 101 manual. In that context they make me laugh.

They’re both so over the top, it has to be a put-on. Spencer has clearly created a villain character that he’s milking for all it’s worth.

It’s just amazing to watch these two manage to constantly keep themselves in the spotlight.

  • lrt

Who are they? How did they become “famous” in the first place? I’ve never heard of them.

I’m sorry that I know this, but, whatever. Heidi met Lauren Conrad from the MTV “reality” show, Laguna Beach, when Lauren went off to college. Heidi then parlayed that into a role on Lauren’s spin-off MTV show, The Hills, where she was Lauren’s best friend and roommate. Spencer dated and recently married Heidi on the show. Then, they went on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! to continue their famewhoring ways.

wow watching this makes me nauseous.
i can’t take anything he says.. he is the biggest scumbag i have ever had the displeasure of laying me eyes on. bleh

Running for president in 2015, is he? Good luck with that one. Other than the very silly year, he’d only be 32. Gotta be 35 to run for president. It’s right there in the Constitution. Of course, that means he’d have to read it…

  • Niall

He knows darn good and well he can’t run for president, it is schtick, an act, a character he is playing. He’s quite tongue and cheek with 90% of what he says. He’s very good at what he does if his act is provoking genuine anger or dislike. Vince McMahon needs to give this guy a call. He’d be the most hated manager since Jim Cornette’s heyday.

  • ducky

I loved Whoopi hanging off the side of the couch…….

    body language says….

“YOU GUYS ARE SO STUPID AND BORING THE HELL OUT OF ME”…. :wallbash_tb: :wacko_tb: :wallbash_tb:

  • musicisthelife

2015 isnt even an election year. wow.

  • BootStar

    Who?

  • DJ

Thanks for showing that. I missed it. These people are seriously annoying.

  • iluvai

Guess what speidi??? No one likes you. I’m glad there are so few comments on you. I’m sorry to add to the comments. I think Spenser should dye his hair darker. He looks washed out.

  • oceana

They are horrid. I’m so glad they left the show. Good thing she got sick, lol.

Her sister Holly is a lot more likable.

But last night on the show, I was disappointed in Holly, Patty, and John. They all appear to be homophobic.

Sanjaya talked about his sexuality. That he’s not gay, he doesn’t like guys, he’s attracted to women, but people think he’s gay because he’s not macho. He laughed that his girl friends call him their “gay bff” because he likes to hang out with them and do things for them, he likes to do their hair etc.

While he was talking about this, Holly, Patty, and John looked disgusted. John had a few choice things to say about it. Holly seemed very uncomfortable with Sanjaya’s comfort level with being labeled gay bff.

I was frustrated by their reactions. Sanjaya is a cool guy, not macho, a very feeling guy, and he’s true to who he is. He’s such a natural. He must not have been raised in a culture that demanded that he toe the line and be ultra-straight in every way. I take him at his word that he’s attracted to women. Some women do find sensitive sweet guys attractive. I love Sanjaya. He’s really unique.
