Nintendo Responds to Thousands of Fans Who Want Christina Grimmie in Zelda Game – Fans of Christina Grimmie, the young singer who was shot and killed after a performance on June 10, have created two online petitions on Change.org to urge Nintendo to name a character after the 22-year-old singer in the fantasy video game Zelda. The former contestant on The Voice was a Zelda superfan who posted YouTube videos about the game and often tweeted about it. A spokesperson for Nintendo tells TIME in a statement, “we are aware of the outpouring of support for her, as well as the petition, but we won’t be making any creative or content decisions in this time of mourning.” – Read more at Time.com

Hear ‘Voice’ Singer Kat Perkins’ Touching Christina Grimmie Tribute – Kat Perkins formed a close bond with late singer Christina Grimmie during their time as roommates on The Voice Season Six. Upon learning of Grimmie’s horrific shooting earlier this month, the singer found herself in shock. “Not sure what to do, I decided to honor her the only way I know how,” Perkins tells Rolling Stone. “With a song.” The musician funneled her grief into uplifting piano ballad “Angels,” available to stream above. – Watch the Video at Rolling Stone

American Idol winner crashes Shelton pool party (VIDEO) – American Idol winner, Nick Fradiani performed some of the songs off of his new album at a pool party in Shelton. Michael Tartaglia never thought his family would win when he entered the Star 99.9 star pool party competition on Twitter last week. He said it all began when he heard the radio station advertising a competition looking for a family to host a pool party and the rest is history. “I tweeted a video of our backyard and our pool, hashtagged star pool party and later on we won the contest,” said Michael. “Star 99.9 came with Nick Fradiani and they threw a big party and concert at our house.” – Read more at SheltonHerald

Big Brother producer hints at surprise mystery houseguests and brand new twists – We asked Big Brother executive producer Allison Grodner about that promo and the alleged mystery guests when she called into Entertainment Weekly Radio (SiriusXM, channel 105) Tuesday morning. “That’s funny. I didn’t know about it,” Grodner said of the promo. “At this point, 12 people will be moving in for sure. And if you know Big Brother, as I know you do, we haven’t had 12 people in the house since season 2 or season 1. [Ed. Note: Season 3 also had 12 contestants.] So it’s been a long time, so chances are there will be more people. The question is, who will they be?
