‘American Idol’ runner-up Crystal Bowersox brings songs, lessons to Bethlehem school – “I didn’t choose it — it chose me,” she told a student who asked what motivated her to start singing. “There was nothing else in the world I was meant to be. My singing made me happy and I realized it could make other people happy, too.” But she also told them, “What can I tell you about show biz? It’s not all that you see in magazines and on television.” In an interview after the performance, Bowersox says she’s “exactly where I want to be” in her career, getting to make “good music my fans like” — though she joked, “I wouldn’t mind a hit or a movie.” – Read more at McCall.com

‘American Idol’ star David Cook performs at Malmstrom Air Force Base – “My hope is to walk away feeling like they were entertained- either because we were really good and they enjoyed the music, or we were really bad and they thought it was funny- as long as they’re entertained. I think past that, y’know, not very many people get the opportunity to come to bases like this and really say thank you, and and so, for me and my band and my crew to be here and again, say thank you, I think that’s probably what we’re taking away from this more than anything,” said Cook. – Read more at KRTV.com
