Colorado-grown Idol Jeneve Rose Mitchell visits Loveland – Jeneve Rose Mitchell, lives off the grid with her parents in Crawford, Colo. The generator was only turned on for one reason each week, to watch “American Idol.” She was a contestant on the final season of show, making it to the top 14.

Fox’s Michelle Pollino caught up with the Idol alum and shares his story. American Idol season eight winner Kris Allen is touring in support of his new album, Letting You In. “The feedback has been phenomenal about this record. Dark Water Rising launches crowdfunding campaign – The group hopes to raise $20,000 to record, promote and distribute “Walnut Branch.” Named after the band’s studio loft in Chapel Hill, the album will reportedly feature an “an edgier, more rocking” sound than previous efforts. Formed in 2010, the five-piece is known for mixing Americana with American Indian music. Charly Lowry, who gained national exposure as a contestant on “American Idol,” is the lead singer. So You Think You Can Dance Gives Kids Their Chance to Shine in New Season (PHOTOS) – “I had two immediate concerns: that our show would turn pageant-y and weird, and that the talent might not be all that great,” she says. “I didn’t want to have to tell the audience, ‘Now be nice. Remember, little Johnny is only 8.’” But, Deeley admits, “I was dead wrong.
