Five things to know about Laith Al-Saadi – Doing the blind audition on “The Voice” is as weird as it looks. Part of the reality show’s setup is that musicians come on stage and play for four celebrity judges who have their backs turned. One of those judges will become a coach to that musician. Eventually, Al-Saadi teamed up with Adam Levine of Maroon 5, who was Al-Saadi’s preference. “It’s pretty strange,” Al-Saadi said. “I’ve played enough that I really didn’t tend to get nervous before performances of course. If it’s that seamless, then you’re doing it right.” What does American Idol mean to you? It was my big break. It became a culture phenomenon that we didn’t see coming, and to be a part of that ride was something I can’t even put into words. – Read more at Parade Magazine
