Go behind the scenes of Carrie Underwood’s massive fall tour – ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: For your latest tour, you’ve been performing in the round for the first time ever. How did you come up with that approach? Carrie Underwood: Because of the name of my [latest] album [Storyteller], it seemed to fit. When you think about telling stories, you think of a lot of people surrounding you. It was intimidating at first. Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, more come out for 10th ACM Honors – Country music’s elite gathered at Ryman Auditorium Tuesday for the 10th annual ACM Honors – a star-studded event that recognizes the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards, which were held in the spring. Singers ranging from Cam and Kelsea Ballerini to Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan were scheduled to walk the red carpet into the event. The evening’s honorees include Crystal Gayle, Tanya Tucker and The Statler Brothers who will be given the Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award that honors individuals who are pioneers in the country music genre. Other winners include Miranda Lambert, who will receive the inaugural ACM Merle Haggard Spirit Award; Carrie Underwood, who will be given the ACM Lifting Lives Gary Haber Award; Glen Campbell, who will receive the Career Achievement Award; and Keith Urban, who will be given the Mae Boren Axton Award. – The Tennessean

Daughtry keeps busy with music, art, family – He may sing “Waiting for Superman,” but this year it was Batman that made one of Chris Daughtry’s childhood dreams become a reality. “I had my first published cover for DC Comics and my favorite character, Batman. As cliche as it sounds, it was absolutely a dream come true. Something I’ve wanted to do since I was a 5-year-old kid with crayons is draw comic books,” Daughtry said recently by phone. “And I got to collaborate with my hero Jim Lee. He was extremely helpful in getting the cover to look the way it did.”
