‘The Voice’ finalist Laith Al-Saadi to perform at GM River Days – Fresh off of being named a finalist on NBC’s “The Voice,” Ann Arbor native Laith Al-Saadi is slated to perform for the first time locally at GM River Days in June. Al-Saadi will join other national and legendary artists on the Quicken Loans National Stage, including the B-52s, SWV, Patti LaBelle, Jeffrey Osborne and Mint Condition. Many local favorites as well as new acts will return to the Michigan Lottery Stage and Chevrolet Stage featuring a mix of rock, pop, blues, alternative, soul and indie rock.- Read more at ClickOnDetroit

The Second Stage world premiere stars Constantine Maroulis. – The world premiere of Sofia Alvarez’ Friend Art officially opens May 26. The cast features Zoe Chao ( Sideways), Aaron Costa Ganis (Bareknuckle), Anabelle Lemieux and Tony nominee Constantine Maroulis ( Rock of Ages).
Directed by Portia Krieger, the new comedy explores what it means to support the arts. The Second Stage Theatre production is part of its uptown series in the McGinn/Cazale Theatre on Broadway at 76 th Street. Performances began May 17. – Read more at Playbill

Blake Shelton Has Something “Brewing” After Buying Miranda Lambert’s Pink Pistol Boutique in Oklahoma – One of Miranda Lambert’s special properties in Oklahoma has a new owner. E! News can confirm the “Over You” singer’s Pink Pistol boutique is closed after more than three years in business. In a surprise twist, however, Blake Shelton has decided to purchase the property. “As a resident of Tishomingo, I am very sorry that the Pink Pistol has decided to move its operations out of the area,” Blake said in a statement to E! News. “We all as a community appreciate everything it has done for our town. Former American Idol contestant visits Nightforce Optics – Country singer, outdoorswoman, and former American Idol contestant Kristy Lee Cook recently visited the Nightforce Optics headquarters in Orofino. While there, she learned how Nightforce makes some of the toughest riflescopes on the planet. Highlights of the tour included the precision manufacturing done in-house, the amount of hands-on work it takes for proper assembly of riflescopes and the extensive quality checks performed throughout the build process—to include the legendary Nightforce impact testing.
