HDD – Album Sales Prediction : Feb 13-19

With yesterday being a bank holiday, there were no reports from HDD. So, today should be exciting with all the post-Grammy numbers coming in. Queen Adele is predicted, as usual, to CRUSH the competition. She is predicted to sell between 650 and 680K. That’s an amazing week any week of the year. That it is happening in a February almost a year after the album came out (Feb 22, 2011) is something truly special. Sometimes an album like this comes around and I’m enjoying the numbers.

Well, who is in second? Competing at an entirely different level are two compilation albums. Now 41 and the Grammy Nominees (featuring Kelly, Voice Winner Adam Levine and fellow judges Christina and Blake). They are predicted to sell between 90-100K. Thanks for playing. Your parting gift are some lovely Lee Press On Nails.

Following her death, Whitney’s “Greatest Hits” moves to 4th with 80-90K in sales while Adele rounds out the top 5 with her previous album selling about the same. Van Halen in their second week and Paul McCartney coming off of two big Grammy performances are predicted to sell around 60-65K.

Kelly appears in the top 20 estimates with 28-32K in sales and on Jason Aldean’s album with 30-35K. Carrie Underwood appears on Tony Bennett’s album with 25-28K in sales. Both Kelly and Carrie appeared on the Grammys to duet with Jason and Tony respectively.
