SoundCloud snippets are the first 1:30 of the non-deluxe tracks.

By the way, there are reports that there is backmasking in Follow Me (I’m Right Behind You) where Haley professes her love for her fav band (who happened to have popularized the technique).

hey , ,thanks for that SounCloud link.. Different parts of the Songs!

I like many of them even more hearing the first minute and a half rather than jumping in in the middle … the fast parts aren’t nearly as interesting without understanding what set them up.

HOLY SH*T !!!!! LOVE THIS ALBUMMMM !!!!!! Every song i heard is sounding outstanding !
This is def. not a typical Post-Idol Album… it isnt bubble-gum pop or genertic country pop sound…
Idols never had someone like Haley and i love how shes not playing it safe w/ this album..

CANT WAIT FOR PEOPLE TO HEAR THIS !!!

LOVE the album. I agree that our Haley Votes were well placed. “Now That You’re Here” or “Oh My” should be the 2nd single IMO, although I get a big smile on my face whenever I listen to “Hit the Ground Runnin’!

OK.. I just listened to the preview of “Listen? Up” on Itunes and… WOW….this
collection of songs is just amazing. Catchy, infectious, memorable with her
gorgeous voice across them all. Really not a bad song, not one. Even the bonus
songs are great…There is a Motown feel to many of them, but a current vibe
too. And, she co-wrote all but one song! This 21 year old! Amazing. The summer
soundtrack for 2012. I will be first to say it—Best New Artist Grammy winner
    for 2012–Haley Reinhart!

Okay…When I said BRB I didn’t intend to delay posting until hours later. Fell asleep yesterday, and no I’m not just getting up now. lol

Anyway. Now that I’ve had time to mull these snippets over I can honestly say that I’m still as pumped as ever for this album. Even more so if that were possible. Haley’s distinct voice is front and center(YAY), the songwriting is solid, the lyrics are catchy, and the retro sound of the album obviously suits her. I’m a happy Haley fan.<3

I'm loving the majority of the songs. At the moment I'm on the fence about only one song(Though I can't deny it's hit potential.)and that's "Oh My". Now before the tomatoes are hurled in my direction it's B.o.B who's kinda ruining it for me. Haley sounds great. Hopefully(like Kris' collab)I'll love it more upon hearing the full version. Also. I'm sad that there aren't more slow songs, but Haley said the overall sound would be upbeat so I'm not surprised. "Undone" AKA the only ballad is absolutely stunning. Can't wait to hear her perform it live.<3 Haley can truly SANG a ballad.

"Hit The Ground Running", "Now That Your Here", "Keep Coming Back", "Undone", and "Walking On Heaven" are just a few of my faves at the moment. As I said I'm loving so many of these songs it's very hard for me to pick an ultimate fave. Oh, and all of the bonus tracks sound awesome. I'm happy I chose the deluxe version. :)

On May 22nd I think I'll lock myself in my room, listen to shiny new music all day, and won't come out until May 23rd. I will regret nothing. lol

A day later .. just have to get it off my chest.. hopefully no one will read this burried three pages deep on the site…

I can’t believe how good EVERY SINGLE SONG is.

listening to the first 90 seconds of each song in the link in the above post and here again.

    http://soundcloud.com/igamusic/sets/haley-reinhart-listen-up/

I want to hear the rest of each song So much and keep cycling through the 10 they have.

Out walking the dog in the park with the music last night and this morning music really was better than sitting at the computer, taking my like up another step.

The musicians are so good on the recordings….crazy what a difference there is between a pretty good drummer or pretty good bass player, and the very best.. even when playing what seems relatively simple… music is in its subltey and wow they are good.   I hate to say bad things about anyone but that girl on the keyboard on the live radio station demo’s has got to go  (hopefully go spend a year drinking beer while playing 4 hour sessions each night in rythym and blues clubs with a band with some old guys in it (like 50 ? ) to soak in the traditions of the music a bit more vicerally.   The black guys she played one promotion set somewheree were better)

I’m now big into “Oh my”  listen to the first half which is all haley and you can see where the rap comes in… i don’t listen to rap but see its musicality (I loved the broadway musical “Stomp” which was all about rythem using things like trash cans etc) … to me the Rap is like a guitar solo.   I miss long guitar solo’s in songs but thats my personal taste and I guess dated.

If younger people who’s expecatations and preferences are more to the last 10 years of music like “Oh my”  they should certainly release it first.

Beyond that I’m most into Wonderland and Walking on Heaven right now but I anticipate every song as they cycle through…..I’d have to mention everyone….oddly to me “Free” is my least favorite now… it just doesn’t seem to fit in and is a bit more of a lament than I like in songs… less jazzy than the other’s too.

I can’t believe that Haley had a part in writing all the other songs ! they are so good,  and the team that she worked with must be the very best writers and musicians too.  Haley’s said in interviews that she did most of the back up singing… it is terrific and really adds to the songs (and in most of today’s music i feel like it takes away)… does anyone know how they added a different tone to her voice.. they notes finish the way that haley uniquely does but there is maybe a rounder sound with different undertones in the voices I feel like.

Oh.. I can’t believe im such a nerd to be so focused on this.   Listening to the album (pre release parts.. going to be checking that mailbox everyday in a few weeks) confirms what my excitment is about… its not at all about the idol competition far behind now, and all about my tastes being so attuned to her voice and vocal stylings.  I have never never followed pop music … maybe in junion high and high school buying Frampton comes alive , and Some Girls, and Quee’s Fat Bottom girls albums.. but lol enough.

I’m pretty biased in Haley’s favor, but I like what I hear a lot. Hit the Ground Running is a fave of mine, Oh My gives me a strong Bond movie soundtrack vibe, Wasted Tears makes me think of ABBA for some reason (and I love me some ABBA). Liar sounds kinda Amy Winehouse-ish, Keep Coming Back is really infectious. Haley’s voice is awesomesauce, I can’t enough of it.

The problem of a birthday present for my brother has been solved too, he likes this kind of music. And I’m pretty sure a few tunes will make it on my Dad’s car CDs.

    Can’t wait for full versions!

Love the previews, amazing music! Very talented vocalist and great songwriter also a beautiful girl. Plus all the other stuff a star needs, she has it all going on.
Haley simply gives American Idol another dimension, finally a contestant who finished high in the competition comes out with an album like they want, very thought out, not rushed, stylish, say artistic and really solid. Oh and also sounds very hot and sexy, that comes out from the vibe. In a way nobody really expects a musician/artist of this genre to come out of Idol so it’s way beyond the Idol audience, she really needs to reach out the people who digs this music. This is what had us all her fans hanging for almost 6 months more than the usual post-idol CD wait but that’s the thing, she is not the usual idol or this the usual album at all. I think she will receive critical acclaim, that would help her a lot.
I think after 10 years of this show going, people really should give the chance to Haley for making another type of music very different from all the others. She brings quality, style and flavor to the table. I really think at least one big hit can come off from the album. If she does really well, that will just give American Idol another life and breath of fresh air. Could Haley be one artist that imposes their style, that would be awesome. Let’s just say, I really hope people who don’t buy it now will regret it later.

Love this new album by Haley. Her taste in music is so up my alley and I adore most of the songs in it. Great work!!!
