Glee’s Chord Overstreet Officially Signs On As A Series Regular

More Glee news: Chord Overstreet, who plays Sam Evans,  has officially signed on to the musical comedy as a series regular. Chord left the show last season after his option to become a regular was not picked up. But eventually, he returned to Glee as a guest star, rejoining the cast in the eighth episode and for the rest of the season.

Speaking of guest stars, two new Glee cast members were announcedDean Geyer will play a love interest for Rachel, while Jacob Artist will appear as Puck’s younger half brother, Jake.

It had already been announced that Lea Michele is set to appear in every Season 4 episode, while fellow Glee graduates, Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith and Naya Rivera will have major storylines this season.

At today’s TCA executive session, FOX honcho, Kevin Reilly said some of the recent glee graduates, which would include Amber Riley (Mercedes), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Mark Salling (Puck) and Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) will only make a few special appearances in the coming season.

Chord’s character, Sam, will return to Glee as a senior this year along with Darren Criss (Blaine), Kevin McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina). Guest stars Vanessa Lengies (Sugar) and Glee Project grads Samuel Larsen (Joe) and Alex Newell (Wade) will also return to help anchor the cast in Lima.
