First Glee wasn’t going to have a panel at Comic Con…now they are.  There was speculation that the show producers were ditching the convention because they wouldn’t be ready to discuss Season 4, or they wanted to avoid another graduation gate. Heh.

Maybe they just needed to work out scheduling for some of the actors. Chris Colfer won’t be there–he’ll be in the middle of a tour for his book, Land of Stories. But  Lea MicheleCory MonteithDarren Criss, Kevin McHaleJenna UshkowitzNaya Rivera and Executive Producer Brad Falchuk will.

Also, check out the rest of the Comic Con FOX schedule. The convention takes place from July 13-15 in San Diego. More information HERE.

JUST ADDED!!! “GLEE” CAST AND CREATORS RETURN TO COMIC-CON 2012 IN STAR-STUDDED PANEL SATURDAY, JULY 14

Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Darren Criss, Kevin McHale,
Jenna Ushkowitz, Naya Rivera and Executive Producer Brad Falchuk
To Appear As GLEE Makes Fourth Consecutive Trip to the “Con”

HOLLYWOOD, CA (June 13, 2012) – In a late development, Twentieth Century Fox Television will return GLEE to Comic-Con for the fourth straight year with a star-studded panel that is sure to be standing-room only for GLEEks of all ages. The panel is scheduled to take place in the Indigo Room on Saturday, July 14 from 6:00-7:00 PM PT and will be moderated by TVLine.com’s Michael Ausiello.

“The fans at Comic-Con were among the first to really get behind our show, and we’ve had such a great time returning there every summer,” said GLEE co-creator/executive producer Brad Falchuk. “This was the first year our cast has not gone out on tour, so Ryan and I thought we’d let them have some well-deserved time off. But everyone wanted to be there, and we couldn’t be happier to report that GLEE is returning to the convention where we feel it all started.”

Original cast members Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Darren Criss, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz and Naya Rivera are all returning to the “Con,” some for the first time since GLEE initially appeared at the convention to standing-room-only crowds back in 2009. Chris Colfer’s book tour only starts on the 17th July (according to EW http://shelf-life.ew.com/2012/06/04/chris-colfer-book-tour-dates/) but I guess maybe he just is not at the right place at the right time. He will also miss the screening of his movie Struck by Lightning on the last day of the Outfest (21-22 July)…

Or maybe he has time, but his Glee-experience will be overshadowed by his two “side projects” : his storybook and his movie. Then again, I thought Darren is also busy with his own company but he will (hopefully) be one of the strong leads in Season 4. Or maybe they are afraid that many dissapointed Kurt fans will ask him the ultimate question: “What ‘s next for Kurt?”… They will ask that question anyway… Chris or no Chris…

Nice to see that they invited Naya as well. Jenna and Kevin were probably expected to be invited as the “seniors of Season 4″. But no Chord Overstreet ?

I guess the best way to wallow ourselves in self pity because of Chris Colfer’s absence at Comicon 2012 is to buy his audiobook with his voice, expressing all the characters in his book.

Yeah for Lea Michele… it  has been a while… I guess Ryan Murphy has not found his other perfect diva “yet”.

I’m still trying to figure out why all the excitement about Comic-Con.  Much of the interview-type stuff that comes out of it is deadly boring.  I’ve come to dread the deluge of inanity we get from it every summer.

I am biased because I am a Chris Colfer fan, but at ComicCon 2 years ago, when he talked about himself in the third person or he was defending the  ”Kurt” of Season 1, it was very interesting…

But the most hilarious part was when Chris Colfer mentioned that Amber Riley has made a video of him on the treadmill and has put it on twitter… You should have been Amber’s reaction… Priceless…

ETA : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGHKXtY-4ek … Chris’ part starts at 4.05 minute but the rest of the video is also interesting. The Amber part is at 6.20 minutes.
