Glee Star Mark Salling Responds to Sexual Battery Lawsuit

Mark Salling’s rep released a statement responding to the sexual battery lawsuit filed by a woman the Glee star once dated. Mark denies that he harmed this woman in any way. He plans to file a countersuit against Roxanne Gorzella regardless of whether the charges against the actor are dropped or not: Via OMG Yahoo.

“There is no truth to this,” Salling’s rep tells omg! in an exclusive statement. “It’s the textbook case of a disgruntled girl looking to cash in on a TV star’s success. We turn the rest over to Mark’s attorneys and have no further comment.”

Sources familiar with Salling and Gorzela also tell omg! that the allegations are false. “They went out a couple times over a year ago and it’s a classic case of hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,” the insider says.

“The night this supposedly happened she first broke down his door to get in. There is a witness who was there who can testify to this,” the source continues. “Mark would never and has never abused a woman in anyway.”

In addition, omg! is told there was a police report filed by Salling the day of the incident, when Gorzela broke into his house and cops were called.

Sources say Salling’s legal team is planning on a countersuit regardless of whether or not charges against the actor are dropped.

It doesn’t sound like Mark is planning to settle out of court

If his version is true, I hope he doesn’t settle! He deserves to have his name cleared.

This reminds me of Justin Bieber who sued the person back who accused Bieber to be the father of his child.

But didn’t Bieber take a DNA test anyway ? If yes, Mark should take a health test… (naah joking)…

This type of thing can really cast a shadow over an actors career. It’s sad if this chick is truly out just to make a quick buck or get notoriety.  And since he portrays a bad boy on Glee, people might think it easy to see him as being a degenerate.

Boy, dating sure is ugly in Hollywood.

  • Miz

I’m sure the truth is somewhere in between the two stories. That girl must be one badass if she broke down his door. I wouldn’t mess with her.

Is this the actor who people were wondering if Jessica would be playing his girlfriend on Glee?

  • Larc

I think that’s Jacob Artist who plays Jake Puckerman, younger brother of Salling’s character.

  • Axxxel

wow love triangle between Jacob Artist’s character Jake, Marley and Jessica’s character ? interesting… Hope Jessica’s character ends up with Ryder instead…

Where is this coming from?  And what does it have to do with Mark Sallings lawsuit?

  • Axxxel

sorry.. was responding to the person who commented on the poster who thought that Mark Salling’s character was going to interact with Jessica Sanchez character…
The thing is, sometimes we tend to mix up the private life of the actor with the one of the character.. so just because Mark Salling plays a bad guy on Glee, it does not mean that he is a bad guy in real life… So imagine if this “bad guy” will interact with a “nice young girl” as Jessica…

    I would say… why not…

I said something similar but don’t see my post here. They probably had some kind of dating relationship, but who knows, beyond that?

Its sad to think that everytime a celebrity goes out for a date or meet new people they have to be wary if that person will screw you over :(  He is not even a big catch!!!  Hope for his sake his alibi is strong (if he is stating the truth).

Regardless of who’s telling the truth, Mark’s rep statement is awful. “textbook case of a disgruntled girl looking to cash in on a TV star’s success”? please, there are way better words to defend yourself.

it’s sad to think that everytime a woman goes out for a date she has to wary if a guy is gonna force himself on her,

As the saying goes, if the shoe fits…

It’s also sad to think that all a woman has to do is claim rape, and there are people out there that will automatically take her word for it. Point being, if there’s proof, he’ll pay. If there isn’t, she’ll pay.

I just hope the authorities are taking the charge and the investigation seriously.

Kariann, you posted it in the other thread. Your comment is still there.
