Here’s your Glee video sneak peek for next week!

Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith) sing a duet of “No Air” as star crossed lovers while a jealous Quinn (Dianna Agron) looks on.

The chemistry between Rachel and Finn is flying, peeps. How long can these two hold out before giving in to their undeniable attraction? I’m waiting for the bitch fight between Rachel and Quinn, and for all hell to break loose when Finn figures out he’s not the father of Quinn’s baby…

Cory Monteith’s sweet tenor is perfect here, while Lea Michele proves she can play pop princess as well as be a Broadway babe.

another amazing episode coming up,love this show.

No convincing needed here. The show is a blast.

It works for me. It’s weird, part of the issue is that Cory Monteith is more kinda sensitive and even slightly geeky then HS football stars usually are, but because of that–his Finn is believable longing for Rachel. Now with Lea Michele, there’s no such split: she totally seems like a Rachel type, just a few years older in RL.

And damn, that kid who plays Puck is awesome. I keep watching him even in the background when he has no lines!! Solution: more Puck.

  • readon

That performance did the song justice. Step back Ms. Sparks. There was always something missing from your performance.

Wow, keep holding on is really really good.

They sing it while looking at quinn who looks like she’s had a tough time. Maybe she lost her baby or something. It’s really moving – even when I don’t really know the reason why she’s sad. That’s weird.

WORD. Finn and Rachel have major rooting power, but I find myself more and more interested in Puck’s motivations here. Kind of crappy to sleep with your best friend’s chick, but then he surprised by offering to do the right thing by Quinn, and surprised again when he backed off of blowing her out of the water. I wanna know what’s going on with him beyond, you know, banging cougars lol. Plus I think he and Quinn had a spark.

Lea Michele is amazing. And she used to perform at Upright Cabaret too, her performances there are on youtube too. She says she knew of Adam from when he was in Wicked, I wonder if she just saw him in the play or knew him through Upright Cabaret… Also I wonder of Adam knows NPH through UC.

Sorry for the OT. Anyways Ive been listening to Glee songs all day, Ill probably buy the album when it comes out :)

This show seems to get more anti-PC with every week. The pseudoephedrine pushing nurse and the line about the “fondue pot of nationalities is going to open up your kids to a host of genetic diseases” was some pretty wicked stuff.

  • StevenD

I LOVE Lea Michele on this show. She has so much star quality during the songs and does really well playing Rachel. I loved her scene with the teacher whe she asked him why is it so important to knock her down just to build up Tina. I also love that she finished every song with a powerbelted note. This is the most I’ve heard her sing and I’ve heard “every” recording she has done and this by far the best showcase fot that voice. I really hope they give her a belty song type of first solo disc.

  • Allison

that may be the best peformance yet!

When I was listening to the track yesterday, before even seeing the video, I thought the same thing. Glee’s obviously awesome at fitting in the lyrics of the songs they use in an episode in with the “theme” of the show, and I was wondering what plot point this song could be pertaining to. At first I thought it could be an end-of-the-show type song after the whole Will/Sue blow up (you, know – even with all the drama we’ve experienced, we need to “keep holding on” because it’s all gonna be okay, kind of thing), but then I thought about Quinn and wondered if the rest of the school and her parents and Sue find out she’s pregnant in the next episode? Or something like that. This definitely leans that way.

Anyway, both of these songs for next week look incredible. Can’t wait to see the episode! Glee is just gonna continue to kill it on the charts, I think. I own most of the songs, and generally buy the new ones the week they’re released. Even songs that I’ve never really liked (like “Keep Holding On” and “Taking Chances” – I guess that’s what Lea Michele can do for a song, for me! lol). I’m so addicted to this show! :)

  • SparklesATL

Did anyone besides me notice Quinn’s blouse in the second video? Take a look. She’s starting to show.

  • http://tenuousatbest.blogspot.com imyourmom

To borrow from MJ, “I love this cheesy show”. I get music & some dance, and off the charts snark. What’s not to love?

  • dflowers

Keep Holding On made me cry. Really good job!

  • BootStar

I think Cory Monteith’s Finn is reminiscent of Zach Gilford’s Matt Saracen on Friday Night Lights. The sensitive, ofttimes reluctant, team leader who loves athletic competitition but feels a calling to more artistic pursuits. Matt wins a scholarship to a prestigious art school in Chicago and Finn connects to something powerful when he performs.

And it’s interesting that both Monteith and Gilford, like David Cook and Adam Lambert, were born in 1982. Both shows could have cast younger guys in their respective roles, but they chose older actors who can still convey the vulnerability of late adolescence.

Totally agree with the whole needing more Puck thing!! My eyes go right to him whenever he’s on screen…they need to use him lots more!!

Both performances were AMAZING….my curiosity is totally peaked now too. I’m guessing that the cat’s outta the bag about Quinn and both Rachel and Finn look at her all sympathetically and then I noticed Puck give her a strange look when he was coming down the stairs behind her….interesting!! I can’t wait for this episode!! I read somewhere that there will be an hiatus in a few weeks….does Fox still do all the post season MLB??

  • http://absinthedreamers.blogspot.com/ Starrlight

BootStar I think you nailed it. That is who Finn has always reminded me of.

  • PattyH

I have a love/hate relationship with Glee. I love the kids and love the music. I hate the wife so much that I often FF thoough her scenes. Her character makes the Glee coac hlook stupid, as dumb as Finn is for not knowing he can’t be the father of Quinn’s baby. And, while so many people love Sue and feel she is a scene stealer (my DH being one) I find her a little too over the top, to the point of scene stealing in an annoying way. Maybe I’m too analytical!

ETA: I don’t feel the same way about the football coach because he has some redeeming qualities. I guess that’s what’s missing in the other two characters.

Yeah, I think they do. I’m glad I’ve got all the episodes saved on my dvr for the hiatus, then! :)

    Patty H: I know what you’re saying.

Sue Sylvester is hilarious because she’s a total outrageous villain. Same for the creepster, formerly ousted, now reinstanted arts teacher Sandy.

The other adult characters are satirized but always with something lovable, too: the germophobe guidance counselor (Emma) actually gives good advice when she’s not being crazy; the out-of-shape slob of a coach (Ken Tanaka) really does understand and care about her. Will (the Glee coach/Spanish teacher) is almost pathetic in his Glee club as redemption mission and naivet, then again, he’s constantly redeemed by his genuine empathy and generosity to those around him.

But Will’s wife is neither funny, nor has she done anything redeeming. In fact the false pregnancy idea is pretty . . . well, dark.

I don’t totally mind, because I often enjoy some drama and darkness in the midst of comedy, but I can’t think of a way that they will resolve that story that won’t be super sad.

  • IdolThoughts

These are awesome videos. I get chills every time I see them sing on this show!!! Even for Gold Digger. There’s just something far reaching about their performances. LOVE it. I love Sue Sylvester and am partial to any and all work done by that actress. Her comedic timing and physicality is so funny to me. The teacher with the OCD bugs me a little bit, but it’s mostly her speech patterns and monotonous bug eyed expressions. I hope they give her some better material. Finn and Rachel are just awesome. They make me happy!

Fox still does MlB so yes darn it it will not be on, on 10/28 World Series game 1 and if there is a game on 11/04 there will be no Glee BUT if there is NO game there will be two episodes of Glee on 11/04

    I just LOVE this show

  • suebrody

Finn is so cute. My favorite is Will, tho. HOT. I wish I liked Rachel more, but that’s just me. OTOH, Sue cracks me the hell up. I kind of feel badly for Quinn, especially after she said last week to Rachel, I wouldn’t have done the same thing if I was in your position (i.e., inviting her back to Glee). And she plans to give up the baby for adoption; tough topic.

The only thing I cannot stand is Will’s wife. And when she was playing the school nurse–not funny at all. I would love them to lose her somehow.

  • http://www.myspace.com/gundomom CarieB

Wow. Both of those videos are awesome. Is it next Wednesday yet?!

  • auntieaimee

Cory’s vocals seemed over autotuned to me. It’s most obvious at around 1:35 of No Air and on the sustained notes.

  • PattyH

The only thing I cannot stand is Will’s wife. And when she was playing the school nurse’“not funny at all. I would love them to lose her somehow.

Could not agree more. The whole school nurse story line was so ridiculous, not even funny (for me.) I pretty much blocked out that story line and just enjoyed the music. But that’s almost what I do every week. Block out the storyline and enjoy the kids’ music! I do love Will, but c’mon – his wife is wearing a padded tummy and he doesn’t know it?!

  • jinxx315

Lea is an amazing singer. God I love her voice. Can’t wait to see how this goes. As far as Will’s wife, I think she is hilarious and one of those types of characters that people love to hate. C’mon, every show has that one character you can’t stand, but that is what makes the show so good! Personally I think some of her lines are brilliantly delivered. Like the time Will says to her “I have some bad news..” and she responds ” A wealthy relative died???” lol.

  • wiredforsound

I love this show! It takes already good songs and makes them great IMO.

Lea (Rachel) is amazing! Her voice is so beautiful!

I disagree about needing more puck. he’s a jerk but we do need more kurt! He’s adorable and funny!

Will’s wife is annoying but I’m not sure I’d like the show as much if it were all sweetness and light so she kinda fits. It’s like real life, messy, complicated and kinda hurtful. I’m not sure how they will resolve the false pregnancy thing but I like the angst between Will and Emma so I hope they don’t resolve it too soon. I love Emma with her kooky germ issues and OMG I love Sue the cherios coach. She’s SO nasty that it’s hysterical!

I get everything I love out of this one show. Some drama, so comedy, some romance and great music! it’s perfection.

“”Will’s wife is annoying but I’m not sure I’d like the show as much if it were all sweetness and light so she kinda fits. It’s like real life, messy, complicated and kinda hurtful.”"

Jinx and wired, I tend to agree with you on this

I just love this show. Yes its a bit cheesy at times, and some times WAAAAAAY over the top and unrealistic but it is ALWAYS entertaining, funny and you really root for the characters. Such a good show…this is btw my favorite performance thus far
