TV Line is reporting that , Shirley MacLaine, has been cast on Glee, in a guest starring role set to span multiple episodes. The Oscar winning actress will play a wealthy socialite who becomes intent on turning Blaine (Darren Criss) into a superstar!
Currently, MacLaine can be seen as Lady Grantham in the BBC melodrama, Downton Abbey. MacLaine has a decades-long career as an actor, singer and dancer, both on the stage and screen.
No word on exactly when MacLaine will make her first appearance, but TV Line says it will be later this month. I’m speculating maybe episode 17 (“Opening Night”) or 18 (The Back-Up Plan).
