Glee Season 5 Celebrates 100th Episode with New Album (Track List)

COLUMBIA RECORDS GLEE

Glee: The Music Celebrating 100 Episodes, is due out on March 25. The album features the music that will be featured on the musical comedy’s 100th episode special, airing in two parts. “100” is set for March 18 and “New Directions” will air on March 25.

The specials will not only celebrate the 100 milestone, but also mark the end of the Lima storyline. Beginning with episode 14 on April 1, we’ll say goodbye to Ohio as the action moves full time to New York City, where the plot will follow cast members’ post-graduate lives.

The two episodes mark the return to Lima of beloved graduates, Puck (Mark Salling), Quinn (Dianna Agron), Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) Brittany (Heather Morris) and Mercedes (Amber Riley), who were reduced to guest star status this season.

In episode “100,” Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) finally puts an end to New Directions, and many old friends and graduates come back to say goodbye to glee director, Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison), including  Rachel (Lea Michele), Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Santana (Naya Rivera) who return home from New York City.

In “New Directions,” the seniors, Blaine (Darren Criss), Sam (Chord Overstreet), Artie (Kevin McHale) and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) graduate and contemplate their futures beyond high school. So far, it’s been reported that Blaine, Sam and Artie will explore post graduate lives in New York City when the story picks up there after the special.

The songs on the set list are mostly fan-voted remixes of old favorites, performed in a new way, and in some cases by different cast members.

Glee returns after a winter hiatus with the “Frenemies” episode on February 25.
