Glee Project contender, Dani Shays, was eliminated in the first few weeks of the competition, but if she had lasted longer, I wonder if her burgeoning relationship with fellow contestant, Ali Stroker, would have become as much of the show’s storyline as the Charlie/Aylin “showmance”?
I didn’t know the two were a couple until today. Dani never addressed her sexuality on the show (although, maybe she would have eventually) and Ali’s “hook” had nothing to do with sexual preference, but the fact that she’s been in a wheelchair since she was a toddler. Ali made it all the way to 3rd place on the show. If she ever talked about her romance with Dani on camera, that footage is somewhere on the cutting room floor.
No matter, Ali stars in the new music video for “One” a song Dani wrote for her best girl. It appears on the singer/songwriter’s upcoming album, “One: The Winter EP”
