Glee Preview: New “Big Brother” Photos and Spring Promos (YAY)

NEW GLEE DEETS! The long drought is nearly over. Glee returns to our TVs on April 10–only two weeks away and I have some NEW photos and promos to share with you!

The spring premiere, titled “Big Brother”, features Matt Bomer as Cooper Anderson (get it?), Blaine Anderson’s (Darren Criss) big brother. Here he is teaching Glee an “acting master class”. Oh! So there you go. Blaine’s big brother is an actor!

There are also photos of the Glee kids at the amusement park celebrating senior skip day. Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith) looking super-pensive as Artie (Kevin McHale) performs. There are no photos of Quinn (Dianna Agron).  She was in a terrible car accident at the end of the winter finale and we learn her fate in “Big Brother”.   She doesn’t die but…well you can check out my Big Brother Spoiler post for more.

In the new 30 second promo, there are scenes from “Big Brother” AND “Saturday Night Gleever” (watch the kids strut their inner John Travoltas in the April 17 episode!)  The remaining 7 weeks of the season (including a two parter on May 15) will deal with the seniors graduating and preparing for life after Glee, and the Nationals competition.

Bits I could glean from the promo:  Sue (Jane Lynch) hints that the father of her baby is a celebrity.  She also appears to be coaching the “sloppy babies” (New Directions!) in some moves for Nationals (you’ll remember she offered her services to Will at the end of the last episode).  Finn wants to move to California?

There are roller coasters, Kurt (Chris Colfer) looking real surprised (but happy to see big brother!) and Blaine singing “Somebody that I Used to Know” by Goyte (A performance from “Big Brother”).  Also the kids are dressed in white with Sue in the lead busting some iconic disco moves for the Saturday Night Fever tribute.

Puck (Mark Salling) laments that he’s “waited 5 years for this” which might have something to do with the return of his long lost father.

ETA: As some of you have noticed, Blaine doesn’t look very happy watching big brother charm the gleeksters.

ETA:  In this new interview with Matt Bomer, Cooper is described as a full-of-himself D-bag. Also, Kurt thinks he’s  “the handsomest man in North America”.  No wonder Blaine looks so unhappy in the promo!

Watch the promo and speculate.  I’m also posting a shorter 20 second promo that sets a more somber tone to tease the aftermath of the Quinn car accident–the cliff hanger that ended the winter finale.

I can’t stop thinking about Quinn…

At least Kurt seemed pleasantly surprised when he saw Cooper Anderson… Good thing to see an actor playing …an actor… a wink to role of Cory Monteith (Finn) the  movie Brothers and Sisters ??

Yay! Two more weeks. This is the only show that I’m marking calenders for. How does Blaine’s brother and roller coasters gel together. Cooper seems like a funny guy. I’m liking him a lot from the clips. Looking forward to knowing more about Blaine’s family.

Is it just me, or does Blaine look PISSED while Cooper is running his class? Should be interesting…..

I think some people are uncomfortable when a relative is the teacher of their own class… afraid to be seen as the teacher’s pet or maybe afraid that the teacher will make fun of them with inside jokes or so….

  • Axxxel

Yeah, maybe Blaine’s brother can be two-faced… nice to outsiders but a terrible person to his inner circle of friends and family

There’s mention of disco and maybe Puck’s long lost father. Looks like other episodes are in the clip. Yes, I mention in my write up that there are definitely clips from Saturday Night Gleever.

There’s so many rumors and talk of Klaine trouble it almost seems inevitable. I’m kinda prepared for it. It does seem like Blaine does not like his brother much. :(

  • Axxxel

Yeah, I am ready for the trouble too. It would be an interesting storyline for an unappreciated Blaine, living in the shadow of a celebrity brother that everyone admires, including his parents.

    …is Cooper Anderson secretly Zoolander?
