Glee Casting Call Reality Show, Syndicated Re-runs, Will Air on Oxygen

FOX may have passed on the Glee reality show, originality set to air before the debut of Season 2 in September, but the Oxygen channel has come to the rescue.

Set to air in June 2011, Oxygen will air a reality show/series of specials,  about a casting call for singers auditioning for the hit FOX TV show.

The Glee reality show is part of a broader deal with FOX to run Glee in syndication on Oxygen, beginning in 2013.

    I am looking forward to the new season of “GLEE” ok i really enjoy the singing part to the show. IDK about a reality show based on the show though depends on how it is set up.So it I guess it is more wait and see.I really don’t get the channel so MJ will you be posting some about the show?

    Interesting. Why did I think the Glee casting reality show had been passed on by Fox because they didn’t want Glee overexposed?

    I think that’s a possibility. Glee’s got so much momentum but there’s a risk that with a reality show for casting it’ll start to feel like too much for people. On the other hand I like the idea of the casting show because it’d be a neat behind the scenes look. If it’d been on Fox it’d have taken even more interest away from AI IMO.
