Gina Glocksen – New Song – Taking The Keys

Remember Gina Glocksen from Season 6? She was the contestant who couldn’t decide whether she was Celine Dion or Pink. Hence, she made a quick exit at #9.

I just posted my first recorded original called, “Taking the Keys”. I really hope that you enjoy it! I’ve just been through the situation too often where I’m out with someone, and they embarrass the hell out of me, so, I wrote about it! I hope you’ll share it and let it be known that i’m NOT even CLOSE to being “done” with music. I’m here to stay and this is just the beginning!

Thank you all for you support! There will be another new song that I’ll be posting on November 29th! Hope you talk to you all then! Hopefully, you’ll like it just as much as “Taking the Keys”.

“Taking the Keys” features pop power chords and has girl group written all over it. A little Blondie, a little Go Go’s a bit of Pink–it’s a style that suits Gina well.

The thing about Gina on Idol, she had a great voice, but lacked a definable style. It sounds like she’s finding herself.

As an aside, she’ll be tying the knot with her fiance, Joe Ruzicka, on December 31. Jordin Sparks will be a bridesmaid…

    I like Gina a lot… I hope good things come for her because I think she has a great voice. If only she’d been able to nail down her style on the show, I think she would have gone much further.

    Ummmm…Gina, honey, you need to rethink that necklace. Seriously, when I first looked at that pic, I thought you had suddenly developed manly chest hair.

    Good luck to her though. I agree with finding your style and sticking with it.

    Two years later she has one original song? Perhaps, the final track on her debut will be about hating the fruit cocktail in the Jell-O at the nursing home. That pace is pretty glacial.

    I just went to her myspace to hear her songs, she does sound great. She has a rich, powerful voice….awesome :clap_tb:

    The necklace does look like human hair. I wonder if that’s a new trend, a la Chris from Project Runway. It’s kind of creepy to me, wearing hair, but what do I know. :tongue3_tb: Good luck to Gina. Her singing didn’t move me on the show, but she did well as an interviewer the next season. She seems like a solid person.

    Yes, it is really human hair and quite the rage in Europe right now. So, Gina is a fashion icon for wearing it. It’s part of the Austin Powers new jewelry line, ‘Manchesters’.

    I liked Gina Glockson in season 6-she was one of my favorites of the girls. I loved her rocker chick edginess and I feel that she sort of opened the door for other rocker-type women to follow-like Amanda and Carly in season 7. I’m happy for her.
