While FOX has pledged to give the struggling reality show, Utopia, time to catch on with viewers before pulling it off the schedule, the network has only so much patience. With ratings under 1.0 and less than 2 million viewers an episode, FOX has decided to yank the fledgling show from it’s Tuesday timeslot.
Originally, Utopia was set to air twice weekly until MLB World Series baseball took over on October 21st, followed two weeks later by the Masterchef Jr premiere on Friday November 7. Utopia would have continued to air on Tuesdays thereafter. But instead, Masterchef Jr. will premiere on Tuesday, November 4. Utopia’s Tuesday edition will be replaced for the next two weeks with repeats of Family Guy, Simpsons and Bobs Burgers. Baseball takes over on Tuesday the 21 and 28th, and then Masterchef the following Tuesday.
Utopia will air on Fridays only. That is until FOX loses patience completely and cancels it.

Season Two of MASTERCHEF JUNIOR premieres Tuesday, Nov. 4 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, followed by all-new episodes of NEW GIRL (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) and THE MINDY PROJECT (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT). The hit culinary competition series gives talented kids between the ages of eight and 13 the chance to showcase their culinary abilities and passion for food through a series of delicious challenges.
On Tuesdays, prior to MASTERCHEF JUNIOR’s Season Premiere, an encore of the highly acclaimed one-hour Season Premiere of FAMILY GUY, in which the Griffins travel to Springfield and meet the Simpsons, will air Tuesday, Oct. 7 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). The following week, on Tuesday, Oct. 14, encores of the Season Premieres of THE SIMPSONS (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) and BOB’S BURGERS (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) kick off the night.
On Tuesday, Oct. 21, beginning at 7:30 PM ET live/4:30 PM PT live, FOX Sports presents Game #1 of Major League Baseball’s World Series, and on Tuesday, Oct. 28, beginning at 7:30 PM ET live/4:30 PM PT live, FOX Sports presents Game #6 of Major League Baseball’s World Series.
UTOPIA will air once a week on Fridays (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). On this Friday’s all-new episode (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), after a tense and dramatic vote, the pioneers reveal which Newtopian will remain in UTOPIA.
