Kendall Beard -Â   San Juan – 23 – Austin, TX – Audition – H’wood “Before He Cheats” – H’wood “chair” – Semis Week 3 – AI Hollywood Video – AI Top 36

We caught a few seconds of Kendall in her San Juan audition, and singing “Before He Cheats” in Hollywood. She could be the country singer of the Top 12 if she rises to the occasion, once she hits the semis.

Kendall started singing at fairs and rodeos at a young age.   She moved to Philadephia when she was 16 to work in a recording studio. She earned a degree in communications, studying in Austin and Los Angeles. She recorded a self-titled album of country music.

    I have a feeling the judges won’t be too kind to her and she will be one of the unlucky contestants that don’t realize they are cannon fodder until it’s too late. Of course, I could be wrong…

    Right now she’s lagging behind Kristen McNamara as the requisite blonde for the Top 12 just because we haven’t seen her. I predict she or McNamara will make it, but not both. They seem to fill the same slot.

    I think we’ll know better once we see if she gets some airtime tonight . If she doesn’t, her chances are going to be pretty slim.

    So far it’s hard to tell. Didn’t much like the song she sang for her audition though.

    I think that Kendall has a decent voice. I think that she might be able to do pretty okay in this competition.

    I hope we see some of her tonite. Unless they show some of those that have had minimal airtime fairly quickly it will be hard to get a voting fanbase assembled. I can’t really tell how talented she is based on what we have heard so far.

    She’s very pretty, but the girls have been underwhelming thus far. Her voice is nice, but she doesn’t have that vulnerablity Brooke projected.

    Based on what I saw tonight she won’t make it to the Top 12. She was underwhelming on “Before He Cheats.” Her singing and performance resembled Kristy Lee Cook more than Carrie Underwood. I think there are easily five to seven other girls who are much more likely to move on.

    I like the poster who called her a Dark Horse. I’m thinking she’s a dark horse because of all the spray tan sessions she obviously paid for before the AI auditions.
