Alexis Grace – Louisville – 20 – Memphis, TN

Video:

Season 8 is single mom Alexis’ third crack at auditioning for Idol. Although she’s decidedly non-planty, Alexis has a great face (the camera loves her) and untrained vocals that are full of potential. A diamond in the rough, to be sure.

Cute girl with an adorable baby girl, Ryan. I’m not sure that I loved her Dr. Feelgood audition performance but the fact that she always seems to be carrying her guitar with her bodes well for her hanging around a while.

Here is her Hollywood video at the “official” site:

she’s my favorite girl so far in the competition. cute little girl, BIG church voice. i’m a sucker for those kind of singers.

  • Dr. Tracey

Oh yeah I remember her, she was too loud for me and looked like she was only 12.

Oh, I really liked this girl. She has a terrific voice and boatloads of potential.

That being said, I’ll be absolutely shocked if anyone who has children or is married ever wins AI.

Hey, I remember this one. I actually liked her voice but hated the song she chose to sing. I am very interested to see what else she can do.

If they force 6 girls / 6 boys, she’ll make it. Otherwise, I’d say it’s a low percentage chance.

Fantasia won and she had a small daughter at the time(a single mom). All other winners have been single or childless but I don’t see that as a problem. Talent and carisma usually win out.

I like her but am not sure she’s going too far in the competition.
