Erika Van Pelt – “Hurricane” Music Video

Check out the new music video for Erika Van Pelt’s new single “Hurricane.”

The song is off of her new album, titled My Independence released earlier this month. You can download the song or the entire album at iTunes HERE.

The emotional ballad highlights the American Idol season 11 alum’s powerful pipes. That girl can sang.

If you’d like to see Erika, she’s performing at Providence Place Mall 2:00pm-4:00pm. on November 16. After the show, she’ll do a meet and greet at Newbury Comics in the Mall. On her website, she teases a very special concert in December as the opening act for a Major National Recording Artist. Hm. ETA: Erica will open for Daughtry at Mechanics Hall in Worcester MA on December 10.

I like this song better than her first one, it suits Erika very well!
But the video… not sure, it did nothing to me…

Those tickets are cheap for a concert of three performers.

Erica is looking and sounding good! She was my favorite on S11, and she left much too early IMO.

I already did, and yes, I’m enjoying it. Very retro sound. Not sure it’s commercial right now, though. I wish Erika the best.

Erika and Elise were my early favorites. I also liked Joshua early on, and came to appreciate Hollie as well. (And post-Idol, Phil.)

On tour, Erika’s performance of “Glitter in the Air” mesmerized me. It’s the only song and performance I still remember distinctly. I also noticed how genuinely happy she was to be on stage, in any capacity. Even singing backup, she drew my eye. For placing tenth, she really acquitted herself.

I probably was most surprised that the personalities of Hee Jun and Skylar did not translate well on tour, at least not when I saw them.
