Elliott Yamin Works on His New Album With Lisa Tucker and Jermaine Dupri

Thanks for the videos. It looks like Elliott is making more of an R&B album this time since he is working with Jermaine Dupri. I know he is working with The Undgerdogs as well. I’m excited for his new album.

Yay Elliott! Love that boy. And I agree Nobro–it’s awesome that he’s working with a major producer like Dupri. I think I heard somewhere that Taylor is working on a second album, away from 19E, and I could care less what Kat is doing–she’s going to be in a movie, isn’t she?

And that song Elliott did with Lisa Tucker–Loved that! She sounded great, but give Elliott a little more singing in it and I would buy it in a heartbeat.

So Elliott and Lisa Tucker are really working together. I wondered about that the first time I saw their pic together a few days ago.

I love that happy Elliott I saw in the second video. I’m excited about the second album, albeit a little scared that it might be a little too R&B-ish for me. I hope there’s another “Trainwreck” in there.

JD produces for Mariah & Usher (and many of the songs that he produced went to #1 on the Hot 100) so I’m really happy that Elliott scored a big-time producer to work with him.

Oh man I miss Elliott, my all time favorite! Lisa sounded pretty good I thought, I was never a fan of hers on the show.

I’m glad he’s working with a big producer but it does indicate more R&B, and I couldn’t really dig his first album for that reason, I haven’t been into that genre since the Boyz II Men/Babyface era.

I’ll hold out hope that there will be a few tracks I can stomach. Go Elliott!

It’s wonderful to see Elliott again. He sounded great singing with Lisa. Loved seeing him so relaxed and playing a little of the game he loves so much.

He does tend to disappear when he’s working on an album, and it’s really hard not knowing what’s going on, but it will all be worth it in the end. Cannot wait until he tours again. Love, love, love that guy!

Lisa Tucker was my favorite of Season 5 and Elliott one of my other favorites so that is great news.the song sounds good.

I love Elliott, and Lisa sounded okay until he chimed in, and then it just showed how full bodied his voice is compared to hers. Sorta like his duet with Kat.

Elliott can sing or talk for me as both his speaking and singing voices are so darn sexy!

If Elliott is recording an R & B album now, what was his first one? That certainly was not pop. I wish R & B was what it used to be – old school R & B – not the hip hop, rap influences they use now. Yuk – what has happened to music?

Lisa does sound different than I remember. Wonder how they hooked up. I haven’t heard anything about her since the tour ended. Elliott sounds delicious. Wish there was more of him.

I love Elliott and can’t wait until he tours again. I’m not a fan of that hip hop, rap R&B. I agree, his last CD sounded R&B to me, although I’m 39.

Regardless if he records music to suit me, I wish him every success and I hope he blows up and finally gets recognized with a grammy or something. He’s got an incredible voice. Even his talking voice melts me.

It will be interesting to hear Elliott and Lisa together for an entire song. No matter how I tried, I just could not enjoy Elliott’s “duet” with Kat. Someone kindly spliced the song to cut Kat out of it but even that didn’t help because my brain knew that she was there originally. *sigh*
