So good to see Elliott out there doing great important work in Africa.

Love to see Elliott’s devotion to his causes in action. And if it weren’t for Idol, he probably would never have gotten out of the shoe store, which would have been a loss for the world. (well, maybe he would have gotten fired and ended up in some other kind of store, but still…) Really makes me ponder how many people with a lot to give get stymied by their circumstances and end up giving and getting very little, compared to what they could actually do with their lives. So glad that didn’t happen to Elliott. You go, boy.

still crazy about elliott after all these years… it is good to see him still out here, and i don’t think i could grow tired of hearing him sing. wish he’d do a little more touring, so i could get to see him live again. keep the news about him coming – this guy is just class all the way down the line…

Just such a wonderful soul who continues to use his success, to do so very much for others in need. THAT is what it is all about. God bless and be with you Elliott, and can’t wait to hear what is next in store for you! ?

    I am proud of Elliot!

These pictures make me smile. You just can’t measure success by number of records sold. Keep up the great work Elliott.

Guess the things I’ve read about him aren’t always true, then. I thought he had a thing about sowing his wild oats. Must be mistaken.

my mama always told me to believe half of what you see, some and none of what you hear – and nowadays forget about what you may read, lolol…. he has never failed to conduct himself with class and a cool sense of respect in every interview or appearance i’ve seen him a part of. he’s not perfect, nope, but there has been no scandal or cheap controversy ever associated with his name. he’s managed to resist the famewhorish tendencies of other idols and folks in the business to keep his name in the media, just for the sake of cheap publicity… if he wants to ”sow his oats”, that’s his business – he’s still a young man, he’s still single and unmarried, not obligated to and doesn’t have to answer to me or anyone else for how he chooses to live his life. been a fan since idol, remain one now – wild oats sowing and all, heeh. he remains a class act for me, and countless other fans.

Thanks Elliott for going down there. That’s my home country so I feel touched to see him pick Ghana out of a lot for his mission this time around. First, Prez Obama and now Elliott :) He’s going to enjoy the great hospitality that Ghanaians give their visitors. I’m not there but I’ll give him the normal Ghanaian greeting. “AKWAABA” :)

Well, who knows what he — or any of them — does in his free time? And who cares, actually? (Even though, having followed his career fairly assiduously all this time, I can’t recall reading anything particularly racy or illegal about his activities, ever, so if I’ve missed something, apparently he must have been fairly discreet about it, or I think I would have heard!)

Bottom line: This is a 31-year-old single guy who’s had the same girlfriend since he got off the show — and she seems to continue to like him; he does good works like crazy, for a variety of causes; and, by many many reports, he seems to behave nicely towards absolutely everyone. That’s classy enough for me.

I recall reading Elliott’s announcement via Twitter that he was going…he seemed so excited and honored to be going to Ghana. His well of sympathy shines through.

Will never forget seeing E and Fantasia in Africa a year or so ago. It really was my intro to Fanty, and I was touched by their interaction and heartfelt singing with the children – absolutely priceless.

Awww Elliott…. my fave idol ever! I really admire all of his charity work. I’ve actually had the pleasure of meeting him a few time and he’s the bomb…love him.

Elliott Yamin is one of those good hearted guys that I admire so much. His charity work on behalf of MalariaNoMore and JDRF is commendable. He doesn’t grab as many headlines as some idols, but he will always be #1 to me. Way to go Elliott!
