Elliott Yamin – Song Leak – Be Apart

Another song leaked from Elliott Yamin, currently working on a brand new album. This one is called “Be Apart” and is credited to Steven Russell who co-wrote “No Air” for Jordin Sparks.

The tune’s got a nice smooth groove. It doesn’t sound finished, but you’ll still get the idea. Check it out after the jump.

    Elliott is my favorite Idol ever, I love his voice and I can’t wait for his next CD.
    This song is o.k but I don’t like the way his voice is altered in it at all; you shouldn’t mess with perfection LOL

    The song was produced by Midi Mafia (they also produced Archie’s song Running and Fantasia’s When I See U). The “mafia” thing is like a stamp that they put at the beginning of all their songs.

    Not a fan of this song. It sounds like most of the other stuff out there now. I guess I’m old school as I like to hear a clear voice and the lyrics of a song. If you have a good voice why hide it.

    I love that we are getting so many new Elliott Tunes ! I don’t like this one as much as I do The Bridge is Burning……but still a good tune ! I cannot wait for this CD !! YaY Elliott !!

    Steven Russell posted twice in the YouTube comments. He had requested that the person take the video down. Said the song was not yet finished and that it was stolen from someone’s computer. I wonder how people managed to steal two incomplete Elliott songs recently. Elliott needs to have the people who worked with him put more security in place so this won’t keep happening. Russell seemed upset about the song being put on YouTube.

    I love both songs but they probably would have been even better after they were finished and ready for the public to hear them. Elliott must be pretty frustrated.

    I with you gabam. I love the songs, but I believe if Elliott wanted them released he would have put teasers up on his myspace page.

    After the success of “Wait for You”, Elliott pretty much dropped off the map in North America. He has been very lax when it comes to communicating with his fans. If he’s upset about these songs being leaked, he should look on the bright side that he still has fans who care enough to be discussing them at all. At this point, any buzz is good buzz for Elliott.
