Didn’t take a video of “Fight for Love” because I was too busy freaking out over the fact that I was sitting less than 10 feet away from one of my favorite idols of all time. Kinda funny, during his little meet and greet session (he gave us all personally autographed pictures… aww), I told him how my friend and I voted for him about 3,000 times the last night he was on the show, and that it was too bad that wasn’t enough to get him through. He said, “Well Emily, it appears you’re not the champion texter I thought you were… thanks for letting me down.” (He was joking, of course!) Such an awesome guy. Oh and his sister was there with her kids, and her son was messing around and trampled HARD on my foot (and I was wearing flip flops)… but he’s Elliott’s nephew so I let it slide. Haha

That was repetitive and pretty boring. Good luck with the album E!

That was awesome. The only bad thing is that it makes me realize (again) how disappointing this season has been thus far. None of S8′s “blue-eyed soul singers” can hold a candle to Elliott IMHO.

I actually prefer all of these singers like Elliott who actually can sing live to perform their music in its stripped-down glory. I hope this song doesn’t end up over-produced on the album. I actually like “Fight For Love” a lot. Will have to go back and find the acoustic version of that one.

Love Love Love Elliot. Nobody in season 8 compares with elliot..im sorry..just my opinion. He was my favorite in season 5.

I’m not sure how this will sound produced BUT the acoustic version is really good. Shades of James Morrison and other soulful singers.

I think Danny Gorkey and Matt G. are talented but I still think Elliott has that something extra that puts him above the rest.

Keeping my fingers crossed that FFL breaks out on the radio. Then this can be single #2.

Wow, I really like this one! I think it will be even better with the full production. I wonder if “Wide Open” (or “Be Apart”) will also be on the CD, that one sounded very promising to me–and it’s another Midi Mafia track. I think I’m liking the combo of Elliott and MM.

My favorite thing about Elliott is that he’s the type of person this show is supposed to be about. He’s the un-plantiest contestant ever. He’s the little fodder that could. Love it.

I love it that Elliott sounds so great live. It’s not easy to sing early in the day, but Elliott can. Well, he has said in the past that he was “born ready”. LOL. Love him.

It started out a little weak, but just got better and better. I like it much better than FFL. Hope they don’t do the clapping thing on the CD version.

Elliott! I like this one. Everytime Elliott comes out with something new around Idol time it does bring about the stark contrast between a phenomenal singer and the good but not great talent they have now. I also starting watching Idol because of Elliott and while I continue to enjoy it I haven’t invested in anyone the same way since. Everyone around me—family and friends–believe thats a good thing.
