E! Throwing Roadblocks in Khloe Kardashian’s X Factor Negotiations (Report)

TMZ is reporting that E! is throwing up roadblocks, hampering Khloe Kardashian’s negotiations to become an X Factor host:

Khloe Kardashian may actually be a little too popular for her own good … because we’ve learned E! is throwing up roadblocks in the negotiations for Khloe to host “X Factor.”

Multiple sources connected to the negotiations tell TMZ … “X Factor” producers cannot sign Khloe to the show unless E! gives permission  — exclusivity is part of the Kardashian’s contract with the network.

We’re told the problem isn’t so much that E! doesn’t want Khloe to do Simon Cowell‘s show … it’s that Khloe would have to promote the program by spending a lot of time doing interviews, social media and making appearances, and E! is worried it might dilute Khloe’s impact on their reality shows and also create time conflicts.

One source directly connected with the negotiations tells TMZ … it looks like both sides will reach an agreement and Khloe will be able to host “X Factor,” but the source added, “I wouldn’t bet my house on it.”

We are told, in the event that Khloe’s deal falls apart, they would probably pick Mario Lopezas the second choice, but “X Factor” has its sights set on Khloe as a single host.

I understand that Khloe Kardashian may have to jump through some hoops to keep E! happy in order to sign on as host of the X Factor, but where is this “single host” stuff coming from? All along, Simon Cowell has said he wants TWO hosts–a boy and a girl–to helm the show.So how can Mario Lopez be a backup plan for Khloe?  This report says both Khloe and Mario will host, which makes more sense.

    I would think it would promote her reality shows, although I will fry in a hot place before I ever watch one.

    She gave up her reality show spin-off in order to support her husband, which got bad press after going through some on tough times on camera following his trade and ultimate dismissal. She also will not appear in her sisters’ Miami show according to Entertainment Weekly, possibly to make room for her hosting duties. The only Kardashian reality show in which she still appears is the original.

    Dear God, there is just nothing right about that.  It’s unthinkable that a Kardashian’s impact can possibly be diluted down any more than it already is.

    To be honest, I’ve seen Khloe on the Celebrity Apprentice, I think she has the “best of the worst” personality out of all the Kardashians. I wouldn’t mind seeing her host the live shows wether it’s with Mario Lopez or someone else.
