On the last night of the Republican National Convention, Donald Trump accepted the nomination of the party and delivered a 76 minute speech promising to bring “law and order” to America, along with building a wall along America’s southern border to keep out Mexicans, bring back manufacturing jobs to America, and destroy ISIS. He promised to do it “really really fast” and completely on his own.
“The forgotten men and women of our country — people who work hard but no longer have a voice: I am your voice.” The Donald presented himself as a messianic figure who alone can deliver the United States from dark, dystopian times.
If you’ve got a couple of hours to spare, and you missed it last night, you can watch Trump’s dark and pessimistic speech right here.

After the convention, Late Show with Stephen Colbert went live and like a breath of fresh air, Jon Stewart returned to television with his response.
As an aside, the estate of the late George Harrison responded to Trump using the Beatles song he penned, “Here Comes the Sun” during last night’s convention:
The unauthorized use of #HereComestheSun at the #RNCinCLE is offensive & against the wishes of the George Harrison estate.
