Update: @RyanSecrest twittered: “Idol auds in denver..hot temps…the most popular song on the road so far miley cyrus “the climb” for real”

Denver, CO hosted the last of the American Idol Season 9 auditions yesterday. Note the hilarious typo from 9news.com:

DENVER – More than 9,000 “American Idol” hopefuls lined up outside INVESCO Field Tuesday morning for a shot at becoming the nation’s next singing sensation.

The team behind “American Idol” says they brought an “army” of producers to Denver to help all of the potential contestants register for the show.

Producers say anywhere from 100 to 1,000 people could move on to the next round but they say they are looking for originality.

One thousand people would keep the producers pretty busy!

Auditioners who make it through the cattle call will move on to audition in front of   executive producers, who, in turn, will choose the singers who get to audition for the judges panel.

The cities that held auditions for American Idol Season 9 this year were Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Orlando and Denver.

If they picked 1,000, I am sure that is because they feel there are not enough gimmicks yet.

Denver may have attracted 9000 hopefuls, but this thread has attracted nearly zero responses! LOL
