Here's an earlier performance, from last July in Lake Placid. Cut short, but terrific nonetheless!

ETA: For some reason, I'm unable to post a pretty link. Hopefully this works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6cvUC0Y6j8. (Just cut and paste into your browser if you can't click through.)

Thanks for the thread, MJ. A great performance to a very cool version of Billie Jean. Their Bollywood program is also a lot of fun. I actually think this exhibition fits them better than Phantom does for their free skate, but the Phantom performance is also quite good.

That was exquisite. I love ice dancing and these two do it so well ... and to great music. Here's hoping they take the Gold.

I was never a fan of that song until David Cook sang it. One of the 'moments' over the years on AI.

Don't know if this has been posted, but a blip about David's "Billie Jean" from the Seattle Times...

"• If David Cook isn't prime for the ice-dancing audience, I don't know who is. His "Billie Jean" cover was the real star of the ice dancing exhibition, alongside gold-medalists Meryl Davis and Charlie White at the final exhibition show of the US National Figure Skating Championships."

Great taste in music, these two! And smart – they both attend the University of Michigan. (go blue!)

It too bad David’s version of “Billie Jean” is no longer available for purchase – such an awesome rendition! I’m sure this dance would have moved some copies.

I wish it was for sale too. I never got to buy it. GO Scarlet and Gray!! lol I've lost my mind.

Wow, that brought tears to my eyes! Funny how people keep mentioning the walk down memory lane; just this weekend I was fiddling with my iPod and happened to call up DC’s “Billie Jean” performance video. It still gives me chills! I remember the night he sang that live – March 25, 2008. The day my life changed forever. Because of DC, my interest in music was renewed. It’s mostly because of him that I’ve started taking piano lessons, something I’ve wanted to do my entire life and never made happen. So, thanks, David, for bringing music back into my life!

I thank David for bringing music back into my life too. I hadn't listened to music much in years,I think I had only bought 1 cd in the past 5 years. I loved David on AI, and then when his cd came out, I really became a fan. I had never really went to concerts, and through listening to his online, I got a love of live music that I never had before and am buying and listening to cds like crazy. His was actually my first major concert and I have been to 3 more since then, and am planning more. And it started with David on AI. I know that I was impressed by him, especially with Hello and Eleanor Rigby, but Billie Jean just blew me away. It was great to hear it last night, and the skaters were good too.

Did the announcer lady towards the end suggest that they had just danced to something from the Phantom of the Opera? Because Cook did that too, but it wasn’t this song…

She said they used a Phantom of the Opera song in their free dance. This one was the exhibition.

David Cook makes everything just a little bit better. :) Very pretty routine; I don't know much about ice dancing but I hope they win (and I hope it's to the bittersweet and beautiful 'Billie Jean' by Cook).

a truly beautiful performance.....along with David's rendition of "Billie Jean" made it even more special. Oh how well do I remember the night I came home and saw that gorgeous man on my TV. I have been mesmerized ever since and absolutely love me some Cook!!!!

Yes seriously, it's hard to believe it's been almost two years since DC's S7 AI. I've taken a few trips down memory lane recently too listening to his performances during that time. I smile with "Glee."
