David Cook To Perform “The Last Song I’ll Write For You” on American Idol May 10

David Cook will debut a brand new song when he performs on American Idol May 10 called “The Last Song I’ll Write For You”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The tune will be available on iTunes on the same day as the performance.  David’s most recent album, This Loud Morning, was released in June 2011.

    I am over the moon.  The snippet is absolutely out of this world.  Head voice and everything I hoped for.   Love beat and fantastic mix.    Cant wait to see him again.

    The chorus stops so abruptly, just when it’s getting good. Snippets are so bad for me. Heh. But I have no willpower, obviously. Can.Not.Wait to hear the rest of this! Is it Thursday yet?

    That’s exactly what David was talking about at the NoH. How different it must be to write with people who’ve been your friends for ages vs writing with strangers!!! I think this is the most pure “David Cook” song we’ve heard in a while maybe except for GTTG. Can’t wait to listen to the whole song *jumps up and down*
