David Cook appeared on today’s Ellen DeGeneres Show. The viral video “girls screaming when Archie lost” video made another appearance. I wonder if Cook is sick of talking about that one? Heh, and after his performance of “Light On”, he dunks a Sara Lee executive for charity.

Bonus: Cook posted a Thanksgiving blog on DCO last night. Besides talking about a chest cold that forced him to chill out with his family (a good thing) over the weekend, David takes a minute to thank his fans.

Excerpt:

Thank you for going on this journey with me. Thank you for the bloated phone bills, and the tired morning-afters because you stayed up all night contributing to said bloated phone bill. Thank you for braving the elements and each other (ha) all summer trying to show your appreciation to all of us this summer on the tour. We noticed. Thank you for supporting all of us after the tour, by going out and buying, requesting, and promoting our various projects and endeavors, no matter how big or small they may be. Thank you for donating your time and resources to causes we all believe in. Thank you for standing in lines just for the chance to say hello and offer a compliment. Thank you for enjoying the donuts. Thank you for the letters. The pictures. The flowers. The books. The crossword puzzles. The Oar. The Stuffed Animals. Theà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ ahemà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ anchored undergarments. The signs. The cheers. The jeers. The adamant defenses and the reasons for them. The karaokes that made the internet rounds (best pantomime drummer EVER), The crowds, the lights, the sounds, the vibes, the memories. And last but not least, the Beginning and THE END.

Love all you guys. See you soon.

Video after the JUMP…

Interview:

Light On:

Dunk!

  • Jolene

Well, that was just plain awesome.

  • bluejeans

Wow, he looks REALLY good with the lighter scruff. AND, the dunking bit was cute.

  • http://myspace.com/pm68 Pam

Love David’s charm, sense of humor, the performance, and the dunking bit was hilarious! :laugh_tb:

ETA: The blog was just so beautiful, sincere and heartfelt. I love how David never hesitates to tell the fans how much he appreciates us. :)

  • http://www.myspace.com/gwendolyndiane GwendolynD

The viral video à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“girls screaming when Archie lostà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ video made another appearance. I wonder if Cook is sick of talking about that one?

I don’t know. I haven’t gotten tired of watching it yet, and this one is a nice opposite reaction.

  • leome

    thanks a lot MJ.
That was truly funny. Gotta love Ellen and the loser.
Very goos performance, the drummer’s hair is not real though.

And yeah, I approve David with the lighter scruff. He looked beautiful.

  • mac

Really great performance of LO. Oh Geez, that look he gives with the little smile after he hits the long high note….just killer! That man is such a tease.

  • hypertwink

That David Cook, what a charmer. I especially loved the smile after he tells Ellen that he bought his mom tickets to a cruise. Lovely man.

He’s getting really good now at singing LO. I like how now he’s comfy singing it, he’s changing it up a bit. I squee at the grin when the audience reacts to the glorynote. And go, Animal! Bang those drums!

The dunkee was hilarious…”I voted for you.”

P.S. I love the fact that he’s the main guest of the day.

  • CookorHubbyHmm

Is part of the video missing? I was at the taping and she asked about his “wife” at one point. He held up his ring finger and indicated that he wasn’t married etc. Did they cut that out?

  • Barbariba

Thanks for posting the videos of David on the Ellen Show, MJ. I totally missed it this morning. As usual David looks and sounds great.

  • hypertwink

I think they edit stuff out for time. Like, I remember the last time, there was David’s story about being a mascot or something — that didn’t air although it was in the plugs/ads for that episode.

  • tinydcfan

He is just so adorable. Love that he’s sending Mom on a Christmas cruise – that big heart of his is showing yet again! And loved his smile to the screaming crowd toward the end of LO :) And the Sara Lee guy: “I voted for you!” LOL

    Thank you, MJ!!

ETA: CookorHubbyHmm – your name is hysterical!!

  • mac

CookorHubbyHmm….love your screen name! I’d go for Cook, but that’s just me. LOL

  • FolkFan

Thanks for posting, MJ. The interview and dunking were adorable. You can tell he’s getting comfortable with playing LO live and plugged in—he’s started playing with it.

She said that she was giving the whole audience copies of DCTR. Is that typical for her to do? Or is this gearing up for her whole set of giveaways that she’s doing this holiday season?

  • http://myspace.com/pm68 Pam

Thank you mj before I forget. :)

  • Jolene

Reaction videos? Oh, fun! In this one the child is the one doing the filming of mom, this girl might need help, and this is probably my favorite one from Cook fans. I love the guys’ reaction to all the girls losing it around them.

I think this is probably the best LO has ever sounded to me. That was truly a beautiful performance. Loved everything about it. The interview was cute if too short, his ease with Ellen shows through and I loved the little waltz in the beginning. He seemed to find it downright hilarious that they used TOML to introduce him.

And the blog? So very sweet and full of love for the fans. I simply adore this guy.

  • Michelle

He’s just a sweetheart all around. That blog gave me pause. I’m glad he took the time to write it. IMO all the crazy stuff we fans do is really to thank *him* for the music and for being such an easy guy to be a fan OF, so no thanks is necessary but…you’re welcome David!

I bet the scruff is lighter cause his mom made him shave when he came home :) I know the scruff is popular but hmm, now I’m trying to imagine it gone…

  • Lisa

I donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t know. I havenà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t gotten tired of watching it yet, and this one is a nice opposite reaction.

I kinda like this one Gwen. I call it the recliner chicken dance, LMAO.

Wonder if that woman knows she is on youtube, lol.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49vzXGFdp4g&feature=related

  • CathyMK

Darn, I was hoping for wet t-shirt Cookie in the dunk tank.

Lucky Ellen- she got at least 3 hugs! David was adorable and sweet, as usual, and LO is sounding really good. I love being able to hear Neal’s guitar in it when they do it live.

  • Jolene

Oohh, I think I saw most of the reaction videos, but that one was new to me, Lisa.

Another one I just saw for the first time – I love how the guy seems to be the biggest fan in this one.

  • waffle

Love his personality, and his voice! Whether he talks, or writes, or sings, you just can’t help but sit up and pay attention. He’s a true artist and an amazing performer. And very sweet to his fans. It’s really no wonder his fans will adamantly defend him to THE END, and for all the right reasons!

    Thanks for posting, MJ!

  • cookmerized

Cookorhubbyhmm, how could they edit out our favorite part of the taping? At least we got to witness the bare left ringer finger as he displayed it for all to see!!

  • Lisa

I saw that one too Jolene. If you look at the date, I think that one was staged. Or they waited months to put it up.

About David on Ellen. How can one man be so nice? I mean really. He is just gosh darn nice.

  • msergio

i have been coming to MJ’s website for years and I finally decided to register because I realized that I am obsessed with this man! I honestly think that he is PERFECT all around. I’m 30 and when I look at him I feel like a teenager…it’s sick!!!! LOL
I just needed to express myself since I know alot of you feel the same.
I loved the way he looked without the scruff when he sang “Hello” he looks HOT in every way.

  • tinydcfan

Lisa, that vid was by far my fave LOL :) CookorHubbyHmm and Cookmerized, any way you two could give us a description of what we missed in the cut segment? I’m sure we’d all be grateful!

  • jan

I bet the scruff is lighter cause his mom made him shave when he came home :) I know the scruff is popular but hmm, now Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m trying to imagine it goneà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦

I don’t think so Michelle. This was filmed last Tuesday before he went home.

  • forlife

I love when the idols write blogs for the fans. Carrie and Chris are really good about that too. I’m sure there are others but I just don’t know much about some of them.

  • Michelle

jan — ah, okay. Maybe it just got itchy? :D

  • CookorHubbyHmm

tinydcfan…of course my dear! I can’t quote his exact verbiage, but I’ll give you the basics. cookmerized can fill in the blanks or correct me.

So, Ellen asked how is “wife” is handling the busy new lifestyle that he has. He immediately starts shaking his head and saying no, no, no. Then, Ellen says something like ‘oh, you’re not married? I thought you were married. You look like you should be married.’ and he just continued to shake his head and then held up an empty ring finger. The crowd LOVED that. Then, she said something like ‘so, you’re just enjoying the single life then?’ and he said, ‘I’m just enjoying being a musician.’

Is that right cookmerized? Did I leave anything out?

Just my opinion but I don’t think that Ellen would have her facts mixed up like that. They are feeding her cue cards the entire time. So, why did they cut that part out? Interesting… :hmm2_ee:
It was my favorite part!!! He was super funny about it.

  • tinydcfan

CookorHubbyHmm, thank you so much! Your memory for detail is much better than mine would’ve been! I would’ve loved to have seen his adorableness during that little exchange :lol_ee: I agree that Ellen was intentionally teasing him and probably trying to coax him into saying something juicy about his relationship w/Kim. He is just too smart for her! :cool1_tb:

  • SashaB

Thanks MJ. Love the standing ovation they gave him when he came out. I don’t watch Ellen. Is that normal? Regardless, I love the warm reception they gave him. He’s remarkably comfortable and at ease.

  • Jolene

msergio, welcome! We really do know how you feel, nice to see you here and hopefully you stay and share the madness/fun.

  • IdolFanatic

So love him! I can’t to watch later when I get home. Can’t do so here right now at work. I, for one, could not be more sick of that stupid youtube reaction video and I’ve only seen it once. That was more than enough for me. I wish interviewers would move past it already. It makes me sick even if it was kind of funny too. I’m glad Cook has a sense of humor about it, but it really is ridiculous to keep harping on. It’s almost as bad as the people who STILL can’t move past the fact that Cook won.

  • Tess

I think we are all kidding ourselves if we think Ellen knows a lot about each guest she has on the show. Most “Hosts” are given a stack of stock questions that they will ask during their on air interviews, and they are usually supplied by the assistants helping with the show.

Probably, a little snippet made it past the reviewers that David was married and so Ellen added that to her interview. I would assume that the part was edited to save face for the show (who SHOULD know everything about their guest) rather than for any other reason.

This type of thing is why “very” few shows are live these days. Talk shows would like to avoid things like the “Paula judging”…it would ruin their image.

  • cookmerized

I don’t think the words “enjoying the single life” ever came out. But it is possible I fainted at some point and missed those words. Regardless, he was adamant that he is not married nor did it seem like marriage was on his radar at this time. Enjoying “being a musician” is his focus. Why they cut that is beyond me. Perhaps cookorhubbyhmm and I screamed too loudly and broke the mic.

  • CookorHubbyHmm

I would totally agree with you Tess, except for the fact that Ellen is an avid AI watcher and was rooting for him. To default to “wife” from girlfriend is kind of odd. Usually it’s the other way around. But, maybe you’re right. It’s entirely possible.

I think that it was indeed to save face for the show. I think she was trying to make a joke, but it really came off like she didn’t know what she was talking about. It just fell a little flat. Although for DC fans, it was a really charming and honest exchange. He was really funny.

  • bluejeans

She said that she was giving the whole audience copies of DCTR. Is that typical for her to do? Or is this gearing up for her whole set of giveaways that sheà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s doing this holiday season?

It is pretty standard that talk-show hosts give away CDs of the musical guest. Not always but it happens pretty often. Of the shows I’ve watched, anyway.

ETA: I’m glad DC did well at the dunking. Didn’t embarrass himself. Colin Farrel did not do so good…

  • hypertwink

Probably, a little snippet made it past the reviewers that David was married and so Ellen added that to her interview. I would assume that the part was edited to save face for the show (who SHOULD know everything about their guest) rather than for any other reason.

Ellen has pretended in the past to play “dumb” or get things wrong to make an interview funnier or more intriguing. I think she knows he’s dating someone but my take on the question was it’s a “sensationalized” attempt at asking whether he’s committed or not.

She’s so amiable that she can get away with gaffes like that. She even makes a point about showing her mistakes. I remember when they played the donut game where she called it stupid — which apparently caused a major reaction from viewers. About her usage of the word. The whole week became a showcase of that game, her repeated usage of the word, and the reportage of the reactions of her using it again and again.

  • msergio

Thanks for the welcome Jolene, I will definately stick around and be part of the madness!!! LOL

  • CookorHubbyHmm

    hypertwink You’re so right.

  • fallforever

    IdolFanatic

I, for one, could not be more sick of that stupid youtube reaction video and Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ve only seen it once. That was more than enough for me. I wish interviewers would move past it already

Except HE’S the one who originally brought it up during an interview a while back(anybody remember which one?). I hope he’s learned a lesson from that.

Also, re.the ‘wife’ deal, I am going to guess it was cut out of the final show because it was a gaffe on her part. (Or whoever wrote the list of questions she asked).

  • CookorHubbyHmm

cookmerized…that was indeed the part where you fainted. Just the sound of ‘single life’ caused you to black out. Sadly, it was as if it never happened.

  • leome

Isn’t this the first time they ask him about it? I just don’t remember many asking him about the video, what I remember is some web media picking on it. I don’t think there’s any lesson to be learnt. It was fun and it still is fun.

  • hypertwink

You’re right leome. After he told that story in a magazine interview (EW?), this is the only time I think he was asked about the youtube video.

  • Jolene

He brought the video up in EW’s online interview (which was different than the one that ran in the magazine itself). Within the day fans found the video he was talking about, and it got it’s own follow up on EW.com.
I don’t think David has any lesson to learn. He should feel free to talk about whatever he wants, and he did nothing wrong by talking about the video. I personally think it’s hilarious and have no problem with it being brought up.

BTW – So it was Andrew who pointed him to the video. Remember all that talk about how knowing about the video meant DC spends too much time tracking himself online? Huh.

  • http://www.myspace.com/gwendolyndiane GwendolynD

I personally think ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s hilarious and have no problem with it being brought up.

Neither do I. It’s totally hilarious.

Besides, I’d been watching that video for months before he even mentioned it.

I’m glad he thought it was funny, and I’m sure those girls are revelling in their newfound popularity. The video is up to over 70,000 views. They’re loving it, or else they’d take it down.

  • gingerly

I find the video of those little girls the same as David Cook does. It’s funny, it’s telling of how we all (whether we love him or not) can get invested is a television reality show, and it’s sad to see anybody get their hearts broken like that (tho I bet they will soon be over it and be getting their hearts broken in earnest). I just see that video as a slice of life of the typical pre-pubescent girl in this country.

You can still find the video on YouTube. Those girls are loving their “celebrity status” methinks.

  • hypertwink

    Those girls are loving their à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“celebrity statusà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ methinks.

I find it infinitely amusing that the David that made them famous is the “loser who doesn’t shave” that they were desparing against.

  • IdolFanatic

Yeah it is funny…even Archie found it funny. I just think it’s getting ridiculous.

  • gingerly

Take it up with Ellen. However, I don’t think she’s more concerned with an overly invested fan (we both qualify) than the ratings of her show…

  • elisad

That guy in the dunk tank is funny.

I spent my break with family and a chest cold, and before you give me the, à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“awwww, thatà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s terribleà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦.à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ (This phrase should be in reference to the chest cold, not my family

    HAHAHAHA…

Joey wrote a blog a few days ago, he’s funny too.

I lose ten lbs by Christmas and then when I gain ten lbs at christmas it won’t be that big of a deal.

  • CookieLove1983

That was so funny! I loved the interview and the bunking! Performance was also amazing as usual! I remember seeing that YouTube video and thought it was so funny! Just for the record, I did squeal a little when Cook won and then I texted my sister who was at work! By I am 25, not 12, so there you go!

  • reinharv

Really great performance of LO. Oh Geez, that look he gives with the little smile after he hits the long high noteà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦.just killer! That man is such a tease.

I played that part over and over again. He just cracks me up–what a cutie! I mean how can anyone not like Cook? You just want to hug him. He’s so sweet, kind, and considerate and so incredibly down to earth. He’s such a natural on that stage and I see he changed LO here and there. He always does that when he performs live–always something little here and there so he won’t get bored with it. I can’t imagine what he’ll do on a solo concert. That is something I won’t miss when he comes to my area. Seeing Cook live raises it to another level!

I saw the video about those little girls going nuts and crying and all. So typical for kids that age–everything is so dramatic and end-of-the world reactions! In all probability they will be mooning over a new male teen A.I. contestant again this coming season.

  • sunchick

MJ, you’re mah hero. My memory is made of epic fail. Totally forgot to record Ellen today. That was fun, he’s a total natural at this stuff, responding to the audience, milking the money note with the dramatic pause, etc. And the band was awesome as usual. But WTF was Neal wearing?

  • FolkFan

Every once in a while, DC pulls out this little grin like a little boy trying to get away with something. Sometimes, it’s when he is playing a joke or saying something funny or something like that. But with LO, he uses it to justify getting some space to catch his breath before the slow part. And it works.

  • kathrynTX

Oh thank goodness for MJSBIGBLOG! YAY mj! I always know I can get what I need here, immediately if not sooner. David Cook is WIN! What a doll. Sending his Mom on a cruise, paying her back for borrowing money from her (to make the Idol audition?), and that silly-butt grin about it…winwinwin. He. is. adorable. It is just not fair that this one man is all kinds of talented, smart, funny, dorky, good looking, articulate. I hope he never changes. Except to get even more David Cook-like. I don’t know if I could stand it…*thud*…. And he CAN dance! Hah. I knew it. Must’ve been all that Mavid Dance practice.

Well I should probably just stop commenting on here, since I just say the same things over and over again. hee. So I’ll say this again – cannot WAIT for the David Cook and EEB tour 2009! David singing live is just something else, folks. And now with Neal & Andy on board and the band completed with Joey & Kyle…these guys are in for the ride of their lives. Fer shure. I LOVE THEM ALL! I am so thrilled for them. It has been so much fun, so exciting to watch this whole thing unfold.
    :clap_tb:

OK OK…love you MOST, Mr. Cook.
    :wub_tb:

  • elisad

Sigh, Neal, just don’t do it again.

  • batgirl478

I have to add just one more reason to love David. I love how when he’s done performing, he turns around and raises his arm to the band, acknowledging them. He did it on SNL too and probably other performances but at the moment its the SNL one that I am remembering. Anyway, it just goes to show again what a great, humble guy he is. And the fact that he brought Andy and Neal into the band is more evidence. I love that he brought guys from his old band to join him in this stage of his career. Just shows that he remembers where he came from and I love that about him.

  • IdolFanatic

Okay, finally got to watch these and yeah, I have to admit that the youtube video was pretty dang funny upon second viewing, especially hearing them talk about it – LOL! I’m so glad Cook has a sense of humor about it, but it still makes me cringe a little at the same time. They were smart not to generalize Archie’s fan base like most of the media likes to do, which they totally could’ve run with using that video. They would’ve gotten some nasty letters for sure! LOL!

Anyway, great interview, great performance, and the dunk tank ftw. Loved it!

  • IdolFanatic

Oh yeah and the smile at 3:08 priceless!

  • Chiqui

Thank you much, MJ. As always, we can always rely on you and your site to have the latest Cook, Archie, and Idol news…

Cook looks so natural and comfortable in this interview and as usual his and his band’s performance is awesome.

Don’t normally watch Ellen but the few times I did she has impressed me as one warm, sincere and truly funny person. It’s so obvious that Cook and Ellen get along so well. I hope she invites him again when the next milestone comes up .. (second single, second album..?)

  • cookmerized

Finally had the chance to watch and re-watch. And maybe re-watch again. Nearly as enjoyable on tivo as it was live. Not really. But in addition to the wife comment, Ellen’s peeps cut out another adorable moment that I must share. On the broadcast, it looks like he hit the dunk tank target on his second try. Not so. It took at least four times, maybe five. Ellen asked him what position he played and he said, “pitcher.” Then it took a few times for him to hit it. At one point, he muttered under his breath, “my pitching coach is going to be so displeased.” It was such a nerdy cookie moment that made us melt. Too too cute.

  • templeton

Thanks as always mj for the fabulous videos. Also, thanks to those that were there for the extra tidbits. Watching Cook on tv in these interviews, GMA / Ellen, I still shake my head about Simon saying that he lacked in charisma. So, so wrong, lol.

  • GEEK4VOCAB

He was absolutely adorable, but what else is new? How could anyone in the world not like this guy?

I LOVED his blog. He is so sweet. And I wonder how drunk he was when he wrote it. ;)

  • oceana

They most likely cut the “no wedding ring” part due to time constraints. Though it also crossed my mind that David might have regretted it, not wanting to hurt Kim’s feelings, and asked for it to be cut. Yes I do have a vivid imagination, lol.

I echo the sentiments here. It was a great peformance of LO, he looked marvelous, the band looked marvelous, and he was extremely good looking, did I already say that? Oh and also, he seems to be growing in confidence, and his smiles are getting bigger, life is treating him well and he’s loving it.

I also get so excited for Neal and Andy, what a dream come true this is for them all, and Kyle’s so cute. And why isn’t his hair real? I think it’s real. In the 60s and 70s, all the guys I knew had hair that long. I don’t think he has fake hair.

Simon was dead wrong about him lacking charisma, but also his charisma is coming out more and more all the time. However for me he had charisma all along.

p.s. He should actually fly those little girls out to a show and get them backstage for a coca cola. They might see that he’s not a lumberjack to be feared or hated. LOL.

  • ShariG

Had to work today and missed Ellen so thank you so much for posting the videos. He is so ridiculously cute and I am so crazy about him it is disgusting. Loved the interview. Loved the song. Loved the killer smile. Loved the laugh. Just not much about him that I don’t just love. I even love the curly toed boots. I completely agree with the poster who said they can’t wait for his tour. David Cook live is an event. And, David Cook on a videotape of a taped television show is pretty darn good, too. I also agree about the EEB. Andy, Kyle, Dr., and Joey, all cuties and all so talented. Neal can wear any old thing he wants in my book as long as he continues to rock out on the guitar. Entertainment Magazine had a little blurb about David Cook in today’s edition with the bullseye hit or miss thing that they do. It says something like, we knew he could sing, but since when was David Cook considered a sex symbol? I want to write them to say since about the top 24 week when he learned to look through the camera and right into our living rooms. He is sexy because of his personality as well as his looks and amazing talent.

  • cookmerized

ShariG you are so right. We all love him because he figured out a way, through the tv, to make us feel what he was feeling. Plus, he granted us direct access to his beautiful soul each time he sang. He is also sexy because he’s smart and humble and goofy. What’s not to love.

  • ShariG

You are so right cookmerized (love your name), what’s not to love. He wore his emotions on his sleeve and we always knew when something touched him and in that way he touched us. I know, too fangirly, but it is true non the less. I think that is why I still can’t listen to Permanent without crying because you can just feel his pain and that makes it our pain, too. If season 8 AI is looking to make an emotional connection between the contestants and the audience, they would do well to take a page out of the David Cook book. The only thing is he is sincere. We would know in a heartbeat if it was just an act.

  • PokeSmot

Absolutely, bestest version of LO I’ve heard to date; David’s vocal was great, the back-up vocals were also great, and, DANG IT (tm archie), the band was EFFEN ROCKING IT! Neal was outstanding on that there electric guitar.

Also, the dunking portion of the show was pretty funny. However, after watching those other celebs hitting their marks on their first tries, I believe I’ve finally found a flaw with the Cookster; he’s an atrocious pitcher!

Thank you, MJ, for posting the videos!

    ———————–
    Peace Out & POKE SMOT

  • oceana

However, after watching those other celebs hitting their marks on their first tries

Maybe they were edited too. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. :)

  • http://www.myspace.com/gwendolyndiane GwendolynD

p.s. He should actually fly those little girls out to a show and get them backstage for a coca cola. They might see that heà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s not a lumberjack to be feared or hated. LOL.

Speaking of which, those little girls made my AOL front page today from that Ellen show clip. Hehehe….

  • sunchick

But with LO, he uses it to justify getting some space to catch his breath before the slow part. And it works.

Not only does it work, I swear, it actually adds an extra element of awesome to the live performances of LO. I look forward to that part now.

Neal can wear any old thing he wants in my book as long as he continues to rock out on the guitar.

Dubious choice of neckwear aside, this is quite true. He can rock a burlap sack and I won’t care. Much. :smile1_ee: Cook will always be the King o’ Charisma (take that, Simon) but I think each of the guys have their own special brand of mojo when they perform. Have I mentioned how much I * :wub_tb:* this band? What’s that? I have? More than once? Okay then. :zip_ee:

  • ohnonotagain

Loved the show, he is such a natural and so entertaining. What is DCTR and EEB ?

Loved the show, he is such a natural and so entertaining. What is DCTR and EEB ?

DCTR stands for ‘David Cook THE Record’, since David always called it THE Record, and not album, and then it wound up self-titled….which makes differentiation awkward. Archie’s is DATR – same reasoning.

The EEB is the Easy on the Eyes Band…since there needed to be ‘something’ to call them while they figure out the name…

And they are…easy on the eyes.
