Andy has a Firebird in a dark stain and now Dave has a very light colored version. Oh wait. That is so weird. They did not really reverse the body on that Firebird. It doesn't seem possible that it has been a year since I was sitting right here with tears streaming down my face completely stunned and thrilled that David Cook won the competition. The only time I've seen DC play anything that wasn't a Gibson since Idol ended was when he was in the Middle East for the USO. He played a Fender Stratocaster over there. Maybe the contract doesn't come into play outside the country? Not sure about that. Everything else I've seen him play has been a Gibson, mostly Les Pauls.
