ShariG, I was on IM last night and told LG about this, but you weren’t there by then.

So I was thinking about DC’s “look” (in light of the current audition rounds) which really, to me, doesn’t mean too much in the whole scheme of things.

However, I have to say this:

I didn’t like his faux hawk for auditions. I Did really like his look from ARN forward until the makeover. Then his new look grew on me and admittedly pretty quickly.

Now, after watching this again and reading someone’s comment about his hair growing out, I really, really lurve this look! The plaid shirt and the growing out hair says to me more casual. Love it!!! That’s all.

Awww thanks for the videos. I love that he is able to put the screaming girls into perspective and have a little fun with it. Thought he did a great job on Light On and the band looked great, but I really want a new song from the CD. I love at least 10 of the cuts more than Light On. He has learned how to get through that demanding song though. Smart guy to let the audience sing a chorus so that he can catch his breathe. Love it.

A fan agreed made up name for the band. EEB = Easy on the Eyes Band, because well, they are.;) I’m not sure who originally came up with it, but I know it’s commonly referred to on DCO.

And to think, all that was happening while we were on here snarking away in chat over AI auditions. Honestly, who needs it, when weÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ve got Dave and the EEB. Just confirms for me that IÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ve got my Idol and somebody truly exceptional is goign to have to come along to get one text outta me.

I just want to thank everyone who posted the tube vids! Oh and thank you mj for the others.
I did watch this on TV last night. I panicked at first because my local station apparently shows Nightline at 12:05 EST and THEN JKL at 12:35.

So anyway, I was hoping JKL would put up all of the songs on his site, but when I read someone’s recap they stated that after LO and Declaration, DC said something like, “now they’re turning the stage over to us.”.

I do believe JKL’s site would get a lot more hits than usual if he had them all up…(perhaps?).

I must just say about KOTN – oh, Lordy!

And I was happy to see that he came out after the show to sign autographs. I am hoping the tour will make a stop somewhere in my general vicinity and that he’ll be doing some unofficial M&Gs before or after the show. I met him once on the AI tour, but once is never enough!!

These are all just crazy good. Thanks for posting! Little Lies, wow. Never knew the song when Fleetwood Mac did it, was curious enough to look it up, and saw how much DC took it from its 80s-ethereal vibe to a stripped-raw almost-early-70s feel (for me, anyway). KOTN, amazing, and loved Avalanche.

Thanks for the videos. They were awesome and it makes me more determined to try and see him in concert. I confess I put them on my facebook so My friend Karl can see them. He’s in the Navy and in Kuwait. He just found out he is going to see David next week during the USO tour. So I’m giving Karl a preview. I still don’t know what I’m more jealous of Karl seeing David Cook or David Cook being near Karl. All I know is if Karl gets a picture with David Cook it will be the hottest picture ever

I am so freaking happy for DC – he sounds amazing as ever and looks so happy – I think he is just getting started and his fanbase will grow and grow. He definately has the “IT” factor in addition to the fabulous voice and great stage presence. This is gonna be a fun ride for all his fans.

Those girls (and their parents) are probably going to enjoy getting their royalty checks in the mail everytime that clip airs on TV. Talk about getting mleage out of putting a video up on YouTube. And yeah, the girl who put the video up is way over it and she was concerned if they’d hurt Cook’s feelings at first when it started to get so much attention.
