This. The juxtapostion of his lyrics vs. the lyrical content of “LO” and “CBTM” is so jarring. I think he’s so lyrically superior to his two “hit factory” singles. I just love this song. I really, really hope that his next record is ALL him.

I think he is just being a guy. He doesn't have a sylist with him at all times like when he was on idol, so instead of fussing, he throws on a cap. Most guys aren't into fussing with their hair.
